SOLD Ford Mondeo Ghia X 2.5 V6 Auto WBOD? - MOT July 2019

What?

  • 2003 Ford Mondeo 2.5 V6 Ghia X Automatic
  • 128,000 miles
  • ROFFLE: £10 per ticket or three for £25!
  • LOCATION: 5 minutes from Junction 15a M1

Good

  • MOT July 2019
  • Every single MOT and bill EVAR, all from a main Ford dealership (including batteries, bulbs etc!), easily £thousands in its life
  • Interior is in seriously good nick
  • Engine makes a good noise and has a lot of poke
  • Brakes are excellent
  • Cam-chain, so no belt to worry about
  • Electric windows/sunroof all work
  • Heated dead cow works
  • CD player works (six-stack)
  • Rear parking sensors work (although apparently have been ignored)
  • Cruises effortlessly all day long at 70mph, revs nice and low
  • Weirdly economical - 35mpg on the drive home, 32mpg on site visits
  • No issues with auto-choke (apparently an issue on these?)
  • Semi-auto function on gearbox works a treat

Less good

  • Last serviced at 122,000 miles (June 2017)
  • Bodywork condition: GIFFERTASTIC
  • 5spd automatic a bit dim-witted, eager to choose 4th and use torque-converter and reluctant/stuttery to kick-down, fluid flush may sort it as likely on original
  • Wheel-bearing drone between 30-50mph (driver's front)
  • Could do with front-passenger tyre (other three are excellent)
  • Driver's electric seat doesn't go down, motor sounds jammed
  • Air-conditioning doesn't work

£10 a ticket roffle with good discount for three tickets.

Bodywork: GIFFER

Ach, second page already. A lot of desirable shite popping up for sale/roffle at the moment that a Mundano won't really hold a candle to.

Anyway, I've decided to keep insurance running so it can be test driven should it go on Autotrader, and I cannot SORN it yet because the previous keeper hasn't told the DVLA I'm the new keeper (sigh).

So if you're quick it'll be taxed to get you home.

It's now at my dad's house, and I'm in Mason MkII, so it'll come with just under a quarter of a tank of petrol, too.

If it wasn’t for the fact the driveway was full and I’m saving money for going to America, bits for the current fleet and jobs around the house, I’d be all over this!

Loved driving Supernaut’s one, rapid yet civil! :)

I will take number 52.

The last silver V6 I purchased from RantingYoof has been superb, and I do like wood* trim, chrome and all the other refinements that come with a Ghia spec Ford.

Like I do with most cars I sell, I've probably made it sound worse than it is. The interior really is nice and I'll try to get photos of that online as soon as possible.

As a forum member has asked for three randoms off the forum, I shall create a list.

Converted thread to PURE ROFFLE and offered a discount for three tickets.

WHO WANTS A V6 FOR £25?!

Ach, I keep forgetting because it's now at my dad's house.

Front looks like this more or less exactly:

I cannot find rear seats on the Interwebs :(.

I promise I'll have interior photos soon.

What a lovely thing. Mate of mine had a Mondeo and it was bloody great. Felt really well screwed together and was an effortless cruiser.

GLWTS!

Really want to buy this but being a bit chicken due to overextension on impending riffles. In the event I’m not sat wondering how exactly to collect a tinwormed 220 from the north I could probably go for this as a winter mule. Heated windscreen and bum warmers swaying it.

Now he is comfortably on his second train of the day, the hero above (Ohdearme) has secured purchase of this Mondeo and will be collected in around an hour and 10 minutes from the local railway station in Mason II.

The V5 arrived today meaning a normal* transaction can be expected to take place.
