Herewith my Mutt mover:-

 

Toasted the engine a few weeks back. I had the banana shaped head skimmed, and its a runner again-albeit with a nasty rattle.

Small end or misadjusted tappet- only a few miles will tell.

If its the former-I've Fuego turbo lump in good order that should fit nicely.

Avon did the conversion for the Series III. Not so good imho - quite a few takers though. Conversion cost £6500 in 1981.

 

Using the top half of a Renner 5 tailgate. Wonder which tin rotted quicker - Billancourt or Browns Lane?
