That is a bargain. I can't....because of other commitments but yeah that is a steal for someone.

Can D Spares & Tyres assist with bits for any interested parties?

My grandad bought one exactly like this (is it an sr?) 1.9dt at the same time as my dad bought a 1.9 xnd base base hatchback. They had one number different in their plates. We coveted his sunroof, electric windows, posh tweedy seats, fog lamps, turbo, remote locking, sports steering wheel, cool rear wiper etc etc. In fact Dad bought it off him when he changed it and we enjoyed it for a while until the head gasket went at 5 years/90,000 miles. A shame as my dad was only saying the other day what a nice car it was at the time! Good luck with sale!

I'd have a ticket, but more importantly I hope your mental health improves. Why not make it £6 a ticket which would cover more of your costs and seems reasonable for a rare beast like this?

Bourne Identity......here you go!!!

FFS.

I saw one of these just last wednesday - nearly turned around to take a photo of it because it looked resplendent with a saloon boot and sorrento green paintwork.

Unfortunately - and this sounds shit - I can drive a car of any age to work.  But it needs to look presentable as I try to milk my mileage as much as possible.  Also, by time time I'm a few hundred into this (and I reckon the bill here would begin with a £4_ _ ) it needs to be bought by someone who can do stuff themselves, not a talentless knucklehead like me.

I love it tho. GLWS.

I like that but it's not for me right now, unless someone wants a cheap Citroen C15 or maybe a VDP Allegro ?? I am low on space

Those engines are worth £200 all day long so if it doesn't sell here then it will be broken for sure. Shame

UPVOTED.

I've had a go in this and it's well worth the asking price. The colour/body/interior decor combo is very rare indeed these days (S1 306s of any kind are scarce now), it has one of the sweetest BE/ME 'boxes I've ever used and the XUD is strong.

The rear stubby shocks are in DIRE need of replacement, however - it strokes more harshly than my Impreza (but at least that's meant to ride badly at low speed).

Patch up, fit Michelins, bristle into the future with the song of Autoshite gargling out of the tailpipe.

Now sold, pending collection. Thanks to everyone who commented and stopped this thread sinking without a trace!

Part of the reason why I'll be so sad to see this go, I don't think I'll find one this nice again. But I've too much on my plate to sort it out, sadly.

There are still plenty of them about - and plenty that have never been sold since new. Don’t beat yourself up. Just focus on getting well chap. When the time comes, we can go halves on a minter!

Oh yes, that's true. It seems to be a regional thing, though. I never saw many 306s down south, but here in East Anglia, you're almost tripping over them.

Phew. This was winking at me in quite a lascivious way. Has it gone to another shidder?

Yes it has, so it will be staying in the community for a while.

It wasn't me but pleased it is still remaining here somewhere.

It is now a Castros-Bro production! Top rated buyer, and all round decent chap. A very pleasant transaction.

A nice little car stays on the road and out of the scrapyard. Thank you Castros-Bro, and thank you Autoshite :)

Thanks for a pleasant day out, hope the burning mouth/chilli sensation didn't last too long.   Got back ok but MOT result was a bit strange, ended up with the 3 testers having a conference over the latest regs and all agreeing with the results.  The OSR tailing  arm bearing is seized solid but is apparently NOT an MOT fail. Worst bit is the engine smokes too much so not sure if a air filter, new oil and snake oil (injector cleaner) will do the job.

Good luck with it.

We eventually wound up scrapping the N plate 1.6LX that I was trying to shift a year or so back as nobody wanted it. It needed a new rear axle, couple of springs or struts and a couple of tiny welding patches. Had a load of people saying "I'd have been all over that if it was a diesel." Nobody wanted the poor petrol version.

Shame as it was a cracking motor to drive and only had something like 110K on the clock...just having to clear the drive NOW when my dad announced he was moving house meant my options were limited - I couldn't afford to ship it 400 odd miles.
