I think with FJ its the commuting drive to work that's excluded. If you drive to the shops or to see your Aunt Flo or something every day and keep under your agreed mileage that's ok.

FJ, Best, Nash etc do allow 'driving to work', charging ~£25 or so for the extension to the policy

But the 'driving to work' is specifically for occasional high days and (non)holidays, not three uninterrupted weeks of sliding about in SNOWKAOS. I would never do that, sir.

No FJ do allow drive to work but usually it's on the understanding you have another daily use car on a regular policy.

So essentially the between the lines thinking is 'fine to commute with on fair weather days' really.

I've put this on Auto Trader now but no sausage of interest from anyone.

You fancy a punt - can you put it on LeBonCoin. You will have to say you are a seller in the Pas de Calais...but you can always offer delivery there. I like anti - intuitive approaches. There might just be a Frenchman or woman interested - kinda Automerdre? Will makean interesting post here if you get a bite..

My experience of French chod is it usually has stratospheric mileages and lots of faults...someone may fancy a cossetted Anglais voiture for the sheer eccentricity.

Like the Germans ... They won't entertain driving à droite.

I don't want to rush the sale as I appreciate it's quite a fair sum for cars for sale on here, but I am open to (FJ approved sorry) swaps.

I've heard second or third hand that some French enthusiasts like to buy RHD Citroens because they're even more unusual. It's worth a try.

GLWTS Bramz, it's a lovely car.

S'funny, I did want a nice early XM as a replacement but just let one go (under my budget) on eBay as I didn't feel I really wanted it. I must be becoming more mature with my car purchasing impulses.

Oh ffs. I just took this out for a hoon and really liked it. I might have to rethink this now. It did hesitate a little but I suspect it was down to being cold, I pulled out the choke and it ran better (and very fast for what it is).

The 605 is being a right bastard however. It now won't start. I think it would be a lot less stressful to find a replacement for it ad keep the 11.

I’ll be honest I want both of your for sale motors... I wish I had the money/space...
