I had to visit site with an important manager from one of our suppliers driving yesterday, that got said before we were out the carpark

Sorry guys, no connection whatsoever in that beautiful countryside and forgot the den filer shot as was thinking of the pub grub more. Just got back, after the joys of M6, it drove a treat. I love big volvos, there is nothing like them. I will try and get a couple of pics off my phone now.

The run up was gorgeous for the last bit, Manchester M6 car park less so.

Averaging more than 50mpg on the way home was a pleasant surprise.

It was great on the way back, you forget how good these things are to drive. It’s BIG but moves so well. It also has that effect on other drivers that very few cars do, one quick flash is enough to have them shifting. Followed this moron on a clear stretch doing 70mph but in the outside lane of an empty motorway so I gently came up behind, moved into his lane and one flash and he was on the inside lane - I think he thought I was a copper.

It’s like a comfy old pair of shoes. Fancier than the Volvos of old but the same feel in many ways. I may be sad but I do love these things.

I used to regularly use the 240 as a cheap place to sleep but far too old for that now.
