Austin of England
Just got home and put the cars away and poured myself a cold one from the fridge, thanks all that came along, I did save a space for you but it was pretty chaotic for me and I only managed to catch up with Alabama shrimp HillmanImp and AlabamaShrimp

HillmanImp
Regret not going to this show more often. Its in the evening so you're not stuck there all day, theres a good variety of cars and there isn't a load of novelty steam organs driving you slowly insane the entire time you are there (Otley Vintage, I'm looking at you). Nice to see peeps and nice to get out in the Visa. That was it first proper drive in over 3 years. It had been dented by someone by the time we got there though oddly but it just popped out. Was fine the night before when I took the photo on the previous page. Anyhow, some photos: I was really disappointed with the interior of the Gilbern. I know it was made by a Welshman in a shed but it looked like it was made out of an old wardrobe. These really are one of the best looking estates ever made IMO. They'd segregated this rusty disiesel from the other 'show' cars. morrisoxide, Squire_Dawson, Aston Martin and 2 others
HillmanImp
Mrs Imps dads 1st car was one of these Bonds. He ditched it though. Have some photos of it somewhere. This Dutton owner said he was the original owner/builder. Cliff Richard spec Tickford bodykit This was the car I probably the car I most wanted to go home with. Said to my mate that I knew this great Manta driver joke and this guy piped up and said "Hey! Be careful I own a Manta" I saud, don't worry I'll repeat it slowly a 2nd time for you..... etc etc These 2 seemed to be owned by the same bloke. Without meaning to be rude, he didn't look like a guy that would drive (or be able to afford) these, he looked more of a Vectra with blacked out windows type of guy. Hats off to him though and a slap on the wrist for me for my assumptions on his appearance. Very jealous. This was parked next to me. Arrived with more kids in it than an IRA taxi morrisoxide, Aston Martin, Squire_Dawson and 1 other

HillmanImp
Thanks for sharing the pics. Every year i try to go and every year i end up missing something or other. I see you saw my mv, some really nice cars on show. Great weather too.... I did think it belonged to someone on here. I was quite envious of it TBH. I was going to say something but you were speaking to some other peeps at the time and wasn't quite sure about going up to a group of randoms and saying 'Hi are you that bloke of t'interweb, I am also a bloke of t'interweb who you might have spoken to but not ever met". Maybe I'm just old fashioned. If it was just you on yer own I'd have probably been a bit braver....

Felly Magic
My mate's Mrs is seriously stoked to win a pot, there were only 2 PCVs there, so it was a 50/50 chance. It's only this year that her beige loaftin is back on the road after almost 10 years, they bought it early this year, and by April it had an MOT and is now out to play at local events. It's always a good event, I miss it, being 250 miles away, and once again the weather looked spot on

busmansholiday
Saw a 205 GT with an AS sticker on the back but clearly having one on the front of the MGB kept the cameraman away. Mate of mine was driving the ex Police Omega, and funny bit was on way in when the gold open top Roller cut up the MGB in front of me. Didn't realise MGB horns could go for so long without breaking. Great photography. HillmanImp
