Yay! Glad this went. If I hadn't bought a certain 1100 I would have been all over this.

(Probably have been a better/less work buy too)

Congrats to all concerned. Look forward to its continued resto and usage.

Right... This lovely old car is now back for sale !

:( Shame that, looks a tidy little giffermobile; If I wasn't knee deep in rusty Saab I'd have it. Best put on the Bay I reckon, judging by my recent experience selling the 164 it shouldn't attract the more feral punters.

Oh noes! :(

If I sell my house tomorrow (probably won't), then find somewhere with more room for more cars (despite a wide search area, struggling on that one) and when I've moved in (you'll probably have sold it by the time we do) I'll buy this right up!

How are the diaphragms?

Haven't done a blow test (ooh, matron !) but when road tested up a steep hill it seems to behave as it should, with steady rpm.

I have to apologise to eBay, after moron I had a message ‘best price, collect 2nite’ style, I sent best price, guy turned up twenty minutes later cash in hand. Easiest eBay Eva, hope yours is the same mate (would still love it).

This is a seven-day auction with no reserve.

Daf 66 Estate

Starting bid

£500

Hmmm looks like a reserve to me :D

Your auction needs more pictures , I sell a lot on ebay , whatever it is it gets 10-12 pictures

People will just assume its knackered

Posted

Yeah an actual reserve price is not revealed to bidders until it's been reached.

If I can't buy it for £250 it has a reserve which is £500, to me a no reserve auction starts at £1

It might not be called a reserve but that's what it is

But it is... haven't you read the description ?

Can't be knackered, that's far too honest , I think to get a bid you need to show it's not as rotten as a pear underneath so you can make them think they have an outside chance of fixing it for ££ instead of £££££ as it looks now

So has this properly sold now? Surely you didn’t get an actual buyer? (I have had morons already on the AJS sale)

It finally sold via the Car&Classic site, to a lovely chap who took her away this afternoon ! My faith in humanity has been restored !

Glad it’s found a nice home, just slightly sad it’s not with me.
