Yes, but chances of the first proper retail buyer paying anything like list price?

That's a fair point, and they probably gave them away to employees too. Want a new 406? Nah have this 605 for pennies as we forgot to cancel it in the UK....

That oft quoted place we all love, howmanyleft, suggests two 1999 605s on the road.

Wow, that is a really nice car Bramz. I've only drive the 605 in 3.0 V6 form that belonged to Alcyonecorporation, it was a really nice car, reminded me of my Sterling.

'WK' suggests a Coventry registration too so could have been a management or pool car at Peugeot, probably because it sat around for a while before being registered.

Already had a fair bit of attention at work for the 605. Someone guessed it was mine before they knew I was in.

Yeah, I like it.

This car was rare ten years ago. Well done for getting what looks like a cracker now. Fabulous looking barge!

My Dad had two.

Cracking cars with great handling and ride.

Lovely, these are the most handsome Peugeot of the time, imo. Looks odd on a T plate too, in a good way obvs.

Unsurprisingly, 605's were the senior management cars at Peugeot Talbot right to the end of the production run. I would hazard to guess that almost all those registered were done as Coventry registrations.

Observations so far:

It's far better driving it on big roads.

The sound system is incredibly good.

Most of the toys seem to work

Also the blanking buttons are for cruise control (meh) and electronically controlled suspension. Probably a good thing it didn't get the latter.

Top purchase, Bramz! I've always has a hankering for these phase 2 605s.

You know what you need to do now dont you Bramz....you need to book a ferry for you and the mrs with this car and go off in the Summer to the South of France. I can imagine this thing would be freakkkkin awesome on the toll roads....

There was a 3 litre SVE for £750 on eBay about a week ago.

MOT and all.

But two of the same car never works.
