Right....what do I bid to...

If this is Copart, I've not had any business with them but they seem to be a shady bunch of shysters. £1500 for a scrap accident damaged Volvo? Get to fuck.

Thats just a made up retail guestimate man. It still sells for its top bid.

Pretty sure the estimated values come from the insurers too so it’s made up by them rather than by copart

When I worked for a insurer and dealt with them, there was an agreed percentage for each total loss category. I don't remember what the exact percentages were, but I'm sure A was low single figures, and D was about 20.

Dyane is intriguing. Copart York too.

Just wait till you try to buy them. You'd be cheaper looking for a concours one at Four Star.

Aye, my brief dalliance with Copart came to the conclusion that it was a waste of time.

Pay to join/bid.

Bid what you think its worth.

Get outbid by Eastern Europeans buying in bulk to take home to use as ringers.

Bid a bit more because you want it.

Win.

Pay what you bid.

Pay the fees.

Pay VAT on your bid and the fees.

Pay more fees.

Pay VAT again.

Pay another fee because why the fuck not?

Have a collection window of between 137.3 and 142.1 minutes after the auction finishes.

Turn up too early, get fined. Plus VAT

Turn up too late, get charged storage fees. Plus VAT.

Not allowed to walk on their tarmac in the compound. Fine of 5 quid per footstep. Plus VAT.

Not allowed to drive your car out of their compound - have to push it. See above unless you have hover boots.

Pay fees for the privilege of passing through their gate.

Pay VAT on the total.

etc.

Probably been lifted with the telehandler as well. I was talking to the owner of the breakers I use yesterday, he says he just bales stuff like this, 90% of the bidders think they're mike brewer.

£1500 for the Ovlov? Think they've put at least one too many zero's in there. If not, lots of luck with that.

Like the Dyane but wouldn't deal with Copart given their reputation however much I liked the subject.

You forgot the £3.00 charge for the hire of a hi-vis vest.

You can't wear your own unless it has the bs kitemark on it.

And the fee for translating all documents you require to sign from Polish/Romanian/Latvian to English.

They stopped making them in 1983. Unless it's a Dyane body on 2cv running gear, which is an odd way round of doing things, the 2cv shape being the more popular.

If it's 1989 it will be E or F won't it?

87/88 E

88/89 F

89/90 G

So, "F" or "G" for 89.

I wonder how shit that Dyane actually is.

There's no tideline, WCPGW?

1989 is RONG, L is 72/73.
