It's not that I don't think it would easily do the mileage. I'm sure it would do it no problem at all, it's just that when driving 600 miles in a day, having only 70hp in tap is a little tiring. Even a 90hp TD model can become a little hard work when you're trying to press on and get many miles done all at once.

 

This is precisely how I felt in the Hyundai today.

 

Weird gearing that's far too high for the engine.  Don't know if it's got a turbo, but if it does it's in hiding.
