Cracking spots....! Looks like a Merc coupe under the Bluebird in the scrap yard pic, and what is the blue car to the right of the green skip....above what looks like a red Carolla...? :?

Posted

I think it is a Matador, its sweet my pick deffo, my wee brothers going to be delighted when he see's those Tr7. Great spots

Posted

MGA looks like a fresh US import. Not sure I'd get dry cleaning done at a Fruit and Veg shop. Or indeed buy fruit and veg where they do dry cleaning

Posted

That LHD pickup looks the bollocks.

I know, I've spotted it sat there before a while ago, It's a Chevrolet of some kind. 8)

And this

Posted Image

it would seem is this, The chap only paid £600 for it last year with 23k on the clock!

Just a coupe more i saw this afternoon whilst walking the dog.

I always thought that these weren't a bad looking car but you never see them anymore.

I've posted this before but these are clearer photo's, It never moves and just sits in the car park of a old peoples home, There's lots of Bluebirds about here, 1.6 LX NFTW.

Posted Image

Also posted this 504 Diesel Pick up before, The tax ran out in 2008, I'm guessing it will end up getting scrapped.

Posted Image

Old LT 2.4 Petrol van, I bet it's a thirsty old thing to run.

Posted Image

Posted

I do like that Bluebird, looks rather good. The 504 pickup is also nice, I dont think Ive seen one for a good 12 years now.The guy who used to rip off my elderly next door neighbour in Bexleyheath had one in bright orange. Back then they were still popular with self employed builders and window cleaners.

Driving home from work this morning i saw something gold in the outside the local pub, Well i nearly crashed my car when i saw what it was!, Only a Matra Rancho!! (sorry for crap photos, My camera phone isn't very good)

Posted Image

Posted Image

It was totally mint and has only 51000 miles on the clock, It's also a automatic.

I saw it few years ago at a car show as well, Also some (Slightly) better photo's of the Princess that's now been on the front for months, It's also spotless but would be for long if it keeps sitting there.

And on a other note if it's of any interest, A mate of a mate snapped these at Felixstowe docks last week, They are a pair of brand new Mercedes McLaren SLR Stirling Moss, Only 75 have been made specially for current SLR owners, they sell for a cool £815000 each!.

My mate said that his mates dad had bought the white one.

Wow on the first two, yuk on the last imho... I hope Moss can buy some new bones with the proceeds.

Posted

I'd rather be seen in the first couple of cars than the gashtastic Stirling Moss shyte

I love that white MK 2 Fiesta!. want want want!

Posted

that rancho looks to have a wheelchair conversion on the rear? not seen one with a rear underhang like that b4

Posted

I hadn't noticed that before, Looking on google it seems that it has had a conversion, Maybe that's why it's a auto and only done such a low mileage.

Dog rough Cav GSi, I'd quite fancy one of thisto run around in.

Posted Image

Fuzzy long distance shot of a Sierra GLSi, DOHC = WIN ETC.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Talking of WIN, here's another shot of that Ami I've spotted in the dark the other week.

Posted

Funny how theres also a GLS near here which never moves, its a 4x4 one though. Good spots, you really never see GSi Cavs anymore, I think Ive seen one and that was last summer.

These two are in the showroom of a little village garage near my mums, The garage is a former Subaru dealer and always have something interesting about, These two haven't been taxed since 2006 and have been in the showroom since.

The Mercedes was a 230E with 193k on it and they still wanted £2295 for it.

Past this tatty Belmont 1.8 CDi as well, There is a much tidier Astra version round the corner from me on a H plate i must photo.

Posted Image

One for Tayne, This looked a bit odd in a car park full of Focuses and Astras.

Posted Image

Rover 3500 V8 in a not so nice part of town.

Posted Image

Posted Image

This was parked on the side of a Cul De Sac, Seemed completely random!, Any ideas what it is?.

*EDIT - The number plate come sup as a 1949 Humber Super Snipe with a 4086cc engine, Never seen one like this before.

* EDIT AGAIN - It's a Humber Light Reconnaissance, Still not much wiser! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humber_Lig ... ssance_Car

i know you said the area was rough, but armoured cars  even in london we aint got that bad yet :lol::lol:

Posted

I would love to drive that armoured thing to tescos. And park it in the mummy spaces. That Land Rover is also ace. I keep sneaking big old beasts like that onto 'Er Indoors watch list - get some proper seats in the back, voila MPV. Much moar stylish and long-lasting than a Galaxalhambraran 8)

Saw that very Bellmont on Friday on the A12 London bound - I attempted a fone-pic, but was subject of epic FAIL...

Blimey, small world!

Today's spots!, Went to Aldeburgh in Suffolk this afternoon to walk the dog and spotted this couple.

My dog snicked into this one. What was a FSM model?.

Posted Image

This made me go OOFFF 8)

These next one were around the back of a local garage.

This 305 Diesel is a former spot of mine, Still looks good.

Posted Image

Old 2.5 Diesel Land Rover hasn't been taxed since 2006.

Posted Image

Still a few Mk4 Escorts about here, I missed the Escort van next to it.

Posted Image

Pair of old Austins in someones driveway.

Now for Rancho overkill!.

I stopped of and got some better photo of these which still sit on the pub forecourt.

This Princess really is as good as it looks, It does have a big scab on the drivers door by the handle but the rest is lovely and the interior is mint, even down to the original radio.

Posted Image

Posted Image

This 1936 Austin (Ten?) also sits here.

Posted

you need to write 'www.autoshite.com' on a bit of paper and stick it under the wipers of the rancho or princess, that guy is surely some sort of hero, and if he joined up we would be able to complete the 'rare talbot/simca holy grail collection'

Posted

Wow that Rancho is tidy,it looks quite imposing from that front on pic. That Humber is just awsome,i wonder if its a rebodied pig?

Posted

Loving the 3 Austins (and most of the rest)!

That used to live in Ellesmere Port. I followed the driver (a woman) into Asda carpark, and ran up and asked if she was selling, and she was. Got her number but didn't follow it up. Looked much better a few years ago. I remember the 'GUY' number plate.

Posted

Christ if that is the one it's travelled a long way south.I think it may be dumped as it hasn't moved for weeks and never used to be in this car park, It's even missing it's drivers door handle.
