As seen in the ebay thread.

I fancy this little baba to run as my daily alongside Huggy.  It means the Giffer Rover will have to go, which will be a shame, but more important at this stage: I don't really have time to drive over to Burnley and examine the car in detail.

Is there someone near enough to it who could send me some pics and impressions please?  I just want to get a feel for the seller, and perhaps a look at stuff he hasn't shown or declared.  He says the brakes need work; a bit more detail about that would help, as it seems to have had brake work already, going by the patchy MoT history.

Thanks guys.

I won't get there before the end of the auction otherwise would do it for you.

Try dropping PM to Njgleeds.

Brakes must be terrible - it looks like that chock is stopping it from rolling UP hill!   Anyway, it looks handsome that and having that and Huggy will Win you at life.  Good luck!

The listing appears to have been ended.  "No longer available," apparently.

That's one strange looking Bedford CF.

Yes it is, isn't it?  One of Leepu's custom jobs perhaps...  OK, so back to plan A.

Er....at the risk of getting shouted out a bit - if you fancy one of these shouldn't they be fairly easy to source?

Oh yes it should.  This one just seemed like a bargain, and it wasn't too far away.  I'm not worried.  I still have a perfectly good Rover, which tbh is one of the nicest cars I've ever had.  The CF thing is just my usual itchy feet.  It would actually take a CF or something American to get me out of this Rover, because against all the odds I really do like it.

A lot of stuff is vanishing from eBay - maybe to return when the weather is better and bids larger?

Quite a few people I have bought from on ebay over the years prefer to cancel the sale so as to avoid ebay fees - so even though I've bought the item, it shows as withdrawn.  I don't really have an ethical issue with this if I have bought the item fro cash and am happy.  It's not like eBay aren't a gang of robbing bastards.

Not as many will pull them off now, ebay warning have frightened some.

Surprising how many cars are reported as 'item lost'.

Well, in fairness over the last couple of days...

The listing did infer the Buick was advertised elsewhere, something Ebay obviously haven't yet built into their spy bots.

Sadly those days are long gone.

Unless you know a source I don't know of, that is.

Not surprising when it's on a list of three choices you have to pick to end early

I would still contact the fella.  Look what happened with the Cresta Van

I did contact him, and he confirmed it is sold.  It's fine, it was only a whim.

A fiver it gets relisted next month with nothing doing, just a bit more in bits and wearing Transit calipers

At more money.  Yes, that's always a prospect.

It's ok, I still actually LIKE my Rover, so unless a CF or some Yank bargain turns up, I'll just keep what I've got and enjoy it.
