If you want a bike with real character - it doesn't usually start for example, you could do a lot worse than one of these Armstrong MT military bikes

I think the 500 came first and the 350 was later with its tiny disc brake up front replacing the 500's drum.  Even though it's the exact opposite of everything I look for in a bike, slow and unreliable, I'd have one in a heartbeat

If we had sold our house I would seriously have considered taking the kids out of school for a year to go on tour in that.

Sadly 4 years too new for MOT exemption but I'm sure my juggling skills could be brushed up enough to blag it into the showmans class ;)

Those Rotax engines are great.

any reason why he set up camp in a river?

Because he can.  Because RB44s are just that hard.

I actually passed an RB44 on the way home from work today.  First one I'd seen on the road in ages, made me grin.  Almost as cool as the 1970 Unimog that was engaged in tree pruning on the A149 yesterday.

Rusty DS420.  Probably quite cheap for one of these now though, even in this condition.

Hand painted in Hamorite black. ( it amused me to do so).

OK so the seller is a bit of a tit, but it's cheap for an MOT'd 4x4.

The instrument cluster in this is exactly the same as it is in the Swift of the same period except they gave these a 6 digit odometer but the Swift got only 5 and the fuel empty and temp high lines are red instead of just white. I guess the production costs are different enough to where it makes some kind of financial sense but still, why?

Edit: seems very few of them has this instrument cluster too, only found one other.

Edit 2: Some US spec versions of the Swift have 6 digits but others have 5. I'm sure it made sense to some accountant somewhere.

I see on the Autotrader site, when you select your price parameters, the monthly figure comes up first.  That's where we're at folks.

Isn't that just dealers advertising cars with the 'price' as the monthly figure, then paying the extra to get the advert pinned to the top of the results?

Not sure it's Autotrader themselves doing it.
