Frogchod Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 I've just bought myself a new* van so my old workhorse it up for grabs. It's a 1999 Citroen Jumpy, same as Dispatch/Expert/Scudo. Good points: It goes (go is relative with a DW8 engine) It stops. It's recently had a cam belt, clutch and head gasket, all tyers are excellent. Almost everything electrical works. This is my van that I use every day for work and has never Ftp'd. Always got what it's needed and oil changed every 10K ish. I'd drive it a thousand miles tomorrow if I had to. 11 months CT (MOT) Bad points: It's done 423000 kilometres. Glow plugs could do with replacement, still starts ok, just needs a couple of pre heat cycles on cold mornings. Off side (French)cargo door doesn't lock on central locking. Drivers seat is fucked. Tasteful bit of carpet keeps your bum of the metal bits. Heater control knob has gone awol, I use a screw driver to shift it. Temperature control knob is about to go the same way. I want 500 euro for it which is mega cheap for France. It's LHD and French registered. It's done 423000... It's in Normandie... If in the vague chance of anyone wanting this I can collect you from Caen or Cherbourgh port or airports. eddyramrod and DVee8 2
hairnet Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 chris needs something bigger than the c15 salut!
Six-cylinder Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 I am in love with another! Jim Bell, Fabergé Greggs, Frogchod and 11 others 14
dollywobbler Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 I am in love with another! Oooh! REAR WIPER! Single door is rare in the UK, but I've never seen a C15 with a rear wiper here. Like that one, I suspect they were French market only. Totally unrelated to the Range Rover. oldcars 1
Six-cylinder Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Early UK vans could be bought with either back doors. This is ex Spanish LHD 1124 cc petrol in great condition in the UK with MOT.
Felly Magic Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 When are you collecting Kermit le fourgonette then? richardmorris 1
Talbot Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Could only possibly be bettered if it was a top-hinged lift-up door Berlingo Multispace stylee. Any pictures of the van that's actually for sale?

Talbot Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Surely this would bash out for close to EUR1000 if sold in France? It's got everything against it in the UK. Wrong engine, steering wheel on the wrong side, needs re-registering, etc, etc, although I have to say for over 400k Kms (400 Mms?) it looks remarkably tidy.
Frogchod Posted December 14, 2017 Author Posted December 14, 2017 Yep, It'd probably fetch near 1000 euros here, but then I'd have to deal with leboncoin idiots instead of the good people of this place. It's going on an expats forum soon, just as many idiots on that though She'll be up to 424000 by tomorrow, that's only about 265000 miles, so just over half of the moon and back... Mr Six-cylinders pic flatters her but she does look ok for the age from 10 meters away. New* van an Saturday A 2004 Peugeot Expert HDI in 110hp flavour, mahoosive difference in the performance department
Frogchod Posted December 14, 2017 Author Posted December 14, 2017 I am in love with another! Is that a Mixte ? With the back seat ? If the back seat is not there, is there an extra foot well in the back ? Sliding back side windows say mixte... When I first came to France I bought an ex GDF (French gas board)C15 and that was on a Mixte platform with the sliding windows. No seat in it, but the foot well was there for the CNG tank. Tank had been removed by the time I got it and it just had a drop in panel to provide a continuous load bed and a handy place to store cocaine.
Six-cylinder Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 We do have a EDF/GDF LNA in the UK that turns up for some shows.
Six-cylinder Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 We need an engine for your old Visa 1124cc as it has blow a head gasket and this year a group of Autoshite volunteers took the engine out and found the liners have sunk. The engine needs an expensive rebuild and Visa values are still low in the UK so that is unlikely to happen. I think the answer is a good second-hand engine but the supply has dried up in the UK. If you come across an engine know to be in good condition then I would be interested in it. Coprolalia 1
Frogchod Posted December 27, 2017 Author Posted December 27, 2017 I happen to know where there is an engine, not sure if it's for sale or not as the blokes got a Visa convertible so he'll probably keep it as a spare, I'll ask though. In other news my old van has gone. It's been replaced with a Mixte of sorts. It's an Expert that had six seats converted by Gruau. Previous owner had binned the seats and extra bulkhead. Frogchod Posted December 27, 2017 Author Posted December 27, 2017 My mate's keeping his spare engine, but he sent me this link https://www.leboncoin.fr/equipement_auto/1346360543.htm?ca=4_s I think it's the same engine ?
