Sold Volvo 940 "Celebration" £700 Fife

It's a 940 2.3 low pressure turbo with 5 speed manual gearbox.

142k miles
It starts, stops and goes well enough and has mot until April.
It's a late run out "celebration" model so comes with half leather interior, heated seats, central locking, power steering, dog guard, load cover and boot liner.
It also has a tow bar fitted and tows reasonably well.

Bad points, it looks better in photos, there are blebs of rust in places, the brakes squeak and the head unit/radio doesn't work.
Other than that it's a good runner and I wouldn't hesitate to jump in it for a road trip of any distance.

Are there many of these old Volvo's in Oz?

You don't really hear of them being over there like you do in Europe or the US where there seem to be shit loads of them.

There are a fair few over here, and they demand some serious coin, especially estates. (£2500-£3500)

 

If I bought FOAD's, shipped it to Australia and got it road legal it would probably be cheaper than buying one here.

Plus, FOAD's being a high spec would be quite rare over here, there are very few high spec ones available.

These things are great workhorses and seem to be at the bottom of the price curve right now, its just mad how you can get so much car for less than a grand.
