Clitroen Zx 1.9 diesel. 1996. 5 door 123k Paint dull as buggery. Interior clean tidy and rip free. Pic rather flattering.

I've had it 6 months and it's done a faultless 10k miles trousering me .45p/per mile

Short MOT with shockingly appalling advisories, however I took it for a pre mot and was advised advisories were errrm rather zealous.

Their advice new discs and pads only. I've already ordered them from GSF along with fuel and oil filters.

A purchase of a giffer XC70 makes it a bit surplus at the moment.

£235 shitters price as is with mot bits inc.

Suffolk or Newark for collecting capers

It's the one with the squeezy primer. Is that Lucas ?

Posted

They all have squeezy primers! If it has a UFO shaped disc on the pump, it's a Bosch. If not, Lucas.

Car left in pub car park after picking up V70. I can do pics at weekend. However at 59mpg over last 9k miles I wouldn't be to worried on bio

Only true for TDs, the NA pumps are harder to distinguish.

59MPG is spurious unless you barely accelerate.

Driving miss daisy is driving like a mad person.

Just had to google what acceleration is.

My ZX NA diesel is super rapid. I reckon 45mpg is what I'm getting but I'm driving pretty hard.

GLWTS anyway, very good steers these cars.

I get horrendously bored driving its 125 miles to work each way which I do once a week and 170 miles each way from work to contracted work. Believe me I've worked consumption out on those long trips

PSA speedos (and trip counters by proxy) over read quite a bit. Still great MPG!

I would chuck veg in anything that's capable of it.

Posted

Looks like a Bosch to me.

Could be wrong, wait for confirmation before tipping a load of veg in.

Posted

As my previous posts. I'm not fussed with veg as it's running 100% reliability at 59mpg

That's pretty late, I don't think there are many R plate ones out there? Almost worthy of the late registered madness thread ;)

In the words/text/style of a shitty eBay/gumtree ad. .....

HERE WE HAVE. Before I cube the Citroen. Anyone want it at the 110 quid I'll get.

Most probably the best and smoothest 1.9NA I've had. 132k no oil use in last 6 months/14k miles.

Rest of the car free. Drive away

Could you post up the Reg number please?    I'm tempted but I think it might be too new for my insurance.

I tried to make it out from the picture and it came back as a red BMW.

Sadly off to be cubed next week. Anybody need anything off it

Posted

Has this been cubed yet? Could be a very useful vehicle, and I don't think you're far from me..

Not done yet. Sorting other stuff out.

There is a possibility of a pass. I took it in and it did fail. Check out history. Place I took it too reasonably strict.

It's a pity. As cracking engine ,gearbox and clutch

Interesting there is no record of a recent MOT on it, only last years pass with several advisories, which don't sound too awful.

I'm very tempted to have this off you. Where are you?
