Is she the one who died driving into the back of a lorry? Not sure how that might link (thanks Google Lens)Β

Think that was Jayne Mansfield. IIRC the car didnt have airbags but she had them factory fitted so to speak…

The incoming car is definitely more sophia loren than mansfield. And has neither Β airbags nor seatbelts.

But it does have a rollerbearing crank (clue).

Panhard Dyna X.

X Rated

Needs a sticker in the back window:

'My other car is a Levassor'

Panhard still make vehicles - well 'hard:

Fantastic! The engineering that went into the Dyna is highly interesting, as is the story how it was achieved (development of a new small Panhard, which would entually become the Dyna, started during the war). This should be a fairly nimble car to drive, considering its age.

There seems to be a lot of alloys in the body. An Aluminium/Magnesium alloy. Better carry a fire extinguisher πŸ˜‚.

Roller bearing crank and a hemi head- hence a bit of motorsport was done with it as the base unit…

Un-dib.

It’s lovely but not my sort of thing.

Shame the MGB has gone.
