Sadly scrapped since, but the shonkiness of this Metro Automatic that I saw 5 years ago was quite impressive, and unusually for a London car nobody else on Flickr found it before I did!

My favourite spot was this in Dornoch a couple of weeks ago. It's almost identical to the one my mum had, except hers was an automatic 1100 and had the crinkly grille. She even had the same mirror clamped to the driver's door.

Going through my spotting thread, there's so many that are remarkable if only for being in the right place at the right time: the Maico scooter that I saw on the only time I've travelled along that road coincided with the owner's modern scooter not starting that morning; the 1.3HLS miniMetro near the campsite we were staying at;  the Mini Minus in a carpark in Knaresborough:-

Upstairs on the No.10 bus, coming home from school - likely 12yrs - I felt a proper boil on the side of my nose...

 

Two thumbnails and I splatted the bus window glass, such was the back load on it!
