Thought I'd share the few pictures I've picked up on my travels. Don't expect much as I tend to work in the dark or have the time to stop. Well, that and I don't want people thinking I'm some sort of weirdo taking pictures of old Rovers. Anyway, here they are

What he said... 'cept I take pictures of just about anything at (or beyond) the the Rusty Gates (if there was such a thing as Autoshite Heaven  ). My only worry is that people think I'm snapping the said car so that I can come back and rob it later...:lol::roll: Am I being silly?

Bloody hell I saw that Renner 5 yesterday as I'm on tour in Plymouth this week spreading the meister's love, think it was in Stonehouse.

It's been there for as long as I can remember. However it does move around a few spaces, but never seen it on the road!

This thing was actually taxed  Wasn't going to stop as it's a very dodgy part of town, but there was rust everywhere and the tyres were flat

Posted Image

Bit of a fail of a fail on the photo front, but a standard mk.1 Golf!

Posted Image

I also went to the Dorset Japanese Car Show on Sunday, not much retro action there, but here it is:

A 200SX not only without stupid 'drift mods but with no rust!!

Posted Image

Someone liked mine enough to snap it

Posted Image

I used to own the red Colt as well!

Posted Image

Nothing like being individual

Finally, it was rahter foggy the other night so took what I think are some rather cool photos

Plenty of shots from the RR gathering. Was a good day out, a nice mix of show queens and tatty but still great. Was tempted to go onto the track for a laugh, but the day before selling a car that would just tempt fate

Some obscure Renault

No idea what this was underneath, but funny as fuck round the track

Plus mine at the show, to go to a new owner in the next few days :cry::cry:

WTF is the point of this? Is it to say "look how nice this once was, and I did this to it" it worked.

I don't normally mind the Rat Look, had a Mk2 transit like it and had no issues driving about with genuine hand crafted gaffer tape wheel arches (passed its test with them) but that's how I bought it, I didn't go and purposefully make it bad.

I actually quite liked it. Worked really well in the flesh and was very, very well executed.

Sorry, but I'm with Mr Transit on this. Executed is what the half wit who did that should be! Restoring or preserving old cars is surely what most of us aspire to, but taking what was obviously once a very nice car and deliberately spoiling it is just moronic! Baffles me.

I agree, it looks like the sort of thing that only a 5 year old would find cool. I'd be less embarrassed coming out of a sex shop than being seen in that.

I'd be more concerned that Richard has saved a picture of Fred in her spandx onto his computer!

Er what can I say? Apart from if I previously owned that VW I would burn it with the culprit who did it, in it.....

Im gonna go against the grain and agree the the wobbler, i wouldnt drive it but i think it is interesting which is something hard to find at shows at the moment ?

- me too - it made me laugh, perhaps a 'scene' car that doesn't take the scene too seriously at all = win. Mind you it does smack of schizophrenia...

I actually could cope with it as full rat, but the nice shiny side just make you think how nice it was to start with.....

The Scirocco whilst not to my taste was very well done, must have had an immense amount of thought and effort put into it as the details were impresssive. I guess it's been built with the intention of getting looked at and to that end it works spot on!

Yes, but there are loads of nice shiny 'roccos. If fields were full of immaculate cars all as they left the factory, the world would be utterly boring.I wouldn't want to own it and I wouldn't do that myself but I applaud the thought and the fact that it clearly didn't just take 5 minutes with a sledgehammer to effect.

So why not start with a less than average one then? Far more of them about.
