Brodders Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 Excellent job. It will be nice to have some more quality shite in the area. However, there is one unanswered question. How is the picnic?
barmatt Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 However, there is one unanswered question. How is the picnic? I forgot to give it to him at first so he had to come back for it, luckily he'd only been gone a minute when I realised so it wasn't a big detour. Brodders 1
95 quid Peugeot Posted September 9, 2017 Author Posted September 9, 2017 The picnic shot. If you're having a splendid feast. You have it half way. Without planning or knowing route exactly half way is here. Brodders, barmatt, rantingYoof and 3 others 6

95 quid Peugeot Posted September 9, 2017 Author Posted September 9, 2017 I stumbled upon a Safrane " Executive" in a scrapyard today, looked in good nic so I assume the gearbox melted Sounds interesting. Where's said scrapyard located. I need to get a coolant hose pronto.

Lacquer Peel Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Do the late Volvo engined Safranes use the Volvo/Aisin gearbox?
25v6turbo Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 Phase 2 has N7U/N7Q engines and SUO gearbox, pretty strong but suffer from rust,Phase 1 is a nicer car in original form but more fragile on the running gear, there has been a few cheap ones for sale recently but people seem to hold out for the bigger engine ones in 2.5 or 3.0lt form.
25v6turbo Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 I think is Number 1 in the pic?77 00 801 261
95 quid Peugeot Posted September 10, 2017 Author Posted September 10, 2017 Blimey Top job young man. Top job
95 quid Peugeot Posted September 14, 2017 Author Posted September 14, 2017 Right fellow shiters. Advice required, not for me however, but for my nearest fellow shiter Brodders He seems for some reason to be stuck with 1 car which is rather embarrassing to me and no doubt him. I collected the mighty silver goddess of Safrane up from the superb picnic providing Barmatt, had a lovely day being a train wanker, followed by a nice drive home. But to digress. .........Should Brodders be made to take the Safrane for free to aid his progress into a mature shitter. That should teach him. Ps. Coolant pipe fixed Brodders, The Moog, RobT and 1 other 4
Parky Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 Free Safrane?? That's about the best automotive related offer he's likely to ever receive! Shep Shepherd, RobT, Brodders and 1 other 4
95 quid Peugeot Posted September 14, 2017 Author Posted September 14, 2017 You're fucked Brodders. Parky said you've got to have it. Parky 1
Brodders Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 Thank you very much for the offer. I would love it, as shown by the fact that I actually bought more than one ticket for it (a first for me), but the old insurance problem is rearing its head. I have spent most of the evening looking, and only one company has quoted anything less than £2k. However, I shall try some of the smaller companies tomorrow to see if they are willing to propose a fee which isn't the lubeless shafting all of the main players are offering right now. Unfortunately I doubt there is much chance of that. But thanks for the amazing offer anyway Keith. I can assure you that there will be a couple of drinks heading your way at the next Suffolk Shitters meet up.
95 quid Peugeot Posted September 16, 2017 Author Posted September 16, 2017 After a sweet week and 220 miles. The silver French goddess has been passed on to local 1 car Brodders. Welcome him fully into the fold now he's got a car he doesn't actually need. Brodders, BorniteIdentity and Dirk Diggler 3
