Well, it's 0640, and I'm already at Camborne train station. There's only one other man on the platform and he's drinking double cream straight from the pot.

7 hours on the train to get to my destination.1fe4f30b4323340d185b9ff05dd366dd.jpg

Whilst I'm sat on my arse for several hours, I may as well knock out the revision I've been putting off for a fortnight.

Radar transmitter theory, exciting stuff.

A reminder of how much this steed has set me back.

So that'll be the 0646 to Glasgow Central, where seven hours gets you as far as Wakefield.

Bon voyage!

There's a couple of changes to throw you off the scent

Are you nearly there yet?

Just pulling into my hometown of Plymouth - I can see my childhood home from the bridge, my parents still live in it!

It's the car we were discussing the other day so you're exempt from guessing!

Does the place you're going to begin with...

Edit: yes it does so I've taken it out so others can play :-)

You've obviously figured it out, top detective skills. Should have obscured the completion time!

Brilliant, an obnoxiously loud child with a handheld Nintendo has sat opposite me. Revision cancelled, this is now an ordeal until Bristol.

I'm on the train in front of you. Currently between Ivybridge and Totnes.

MrsH is expecting our first nipper in the new year, so I'm sure I'll get acquainted with all those programmes soon.

That's what prompted this purchase.

You should talk to my dad - he was doing that from the late 1950s.

I find it really interesting but I have a hard time understanding it!

PM me your email address, if you'd like me to pass it on to the old boy.  He's still got all his old books and papers.

I figured it out without the end time but I shan't say how I did it in case anyone else is playing the guessing game.....

Congratulations on your impending purchase.

Congratulations on finding a license to move from Plymouth, across the Tamar and into the holy part of Kernow!

Oh yeah, clues.

Large. Huge. RWD. German influence.

Aye, worked at Culdrose since '08, married in '14 and moved the wife to Helston, and finally bought in Brea just outside Camborne.

Love it, and wouldn't live anywhere else!

Ace. My brain is so scrambled that I've utterly forgotten what we discussed. This is still a surprise!

Fifteen minutes from Bristol. Tea has been consumed. W^2-esque poo count - a very shaky one.8cd6b1055ea2fafd3b0f7d854827dfbc.jpg

Thought this was a local adventure.

Then I remembered that our local Camborne doesn't have a railway station.

Or any other redeeming features.

Well done Cambridgeshire new town planning dept.

Might well be 7 hours away though.

God speed! :-)
