Blimey - what a Pavlova!

DUE TO TIME WASTERS THIS IS BEING REOFFERED

See? That's what you get for selling 'offline' :P Volksy - would you be a kind chap and let us know the faults so Darren isn't inundated with requests (unless of course you want to keep it to yourself to avoid competition - we'll understand  )?

I will post faults on here, as soon as i hear, I am interested, but not wanting a load of work!

What a saga this R30 is... I thought Derren Brown was buying it off the winning bidder?!

Derren Brown? Couldn't he just will the seller to let him have it for nothing, using his 'Mind Control'?

This is the Gamma that was bought from Peterborough some weeks ago after sitting in a barn for years and years with engine problems. Now look. 'CAR MUST BE GONE IN 3 DAYS OR IT WILL BE SCRAPPED DUE TO COMPLAINING WIFE NEIGHBOURS AND COUNCIL' for fooks sake. Pull yourself together man. Look at the interior!

Why don't people just tell their neighbours and the Council to fark orf and mind their own business? It's not even as if the car is particularly tatty so it can hardly be classed as an eyesore. I'd offer him 150 quid for it but I've got no way of trailering it back from Ipswich at the moment - I think the Carlton would probably throw a paddy at being asked to tow that kind of weight.

if you've got a trailer Wuvs I could tow it for you, could not do it till the week after next though.Alternatively you're very welcome to borrow my Audi to use as a towcar.

Complaining neighbours what?Hardly looks like a "barrat showhome silver A4 or 323i only thankyou" type location where snooty cnuts usually reside. Look at the pics and there are blatantly TWO CPTC's in the background. Soft in the heed, mon!

but the garden that the Lancia resides looks like it's been done by the big knockered bird off the box so must be posh

Cheers for that. It didn't sell (some clown made an offer of £50  ) so I might send the seller a knee male and see if he can hold off the pikey with the HIAB truck for a wee while so I can try and get something sorted. I was going to offer rather more than £150, so hopefully he'll see my request in a favourable light. Although I don't know where the Donald Duck I'd get an exhaust for a Gamma - might have to make one up out of bits of various other things.

nice one, get on it. I have nearly owned that car a couple of times, I'd buy it right away at 200 notes, but I just have no space at all now.If you buy it and get sick of it, call me first!

Perhaps the owner got wind of a 'Ground Farce' revisit and now has to rush to clear his tat from the 'garden room' they so lovingly created. It was intended for people to sit in and sip wine (while the neighbours stared) - not for some ancient heap of Italian loveliness to dissolve in.

Might have been me -although I rather fancied an early Quadra...Still an 86 C plater is as early as they get -and it looks reasonable.Views please -as a shit shifter, tow car ,and mutts motor?

Baz I'm sure......

Oooh....Phase 1....TSE....Twin-sunroofs....Roof rails....Red (one of the few colours that came with the biege dash/interior)....Looks like an ideal basis for the "beige beauty" that I planned a while back, doesn't it? It's even got a decent M.O.T. on it....And it's only in Peterborough....And the R11's test expires next month....Hmmm, maybe I should talk to my financial advisor, when she wakes up in the morning!

A Stanza saloon! How rare are these compared to the hatch which isn't exactly on every street!

Have to be quick:

This Talbot has been offered before, but I think they are being a little unrealistic with the BIN.

Nice, but will probably be trouble. Not the crazy high-spec LX trim I remember from the 1986 Motor Show, but still nice

Finally, a bit of fun. Wish it was a bit closer.

Shame that Innocenti is in such a state - I'd love another one of those. I've bid on the White Hen though. I love those little cars - ridiculously over-equipped for a mid '80s supermini and great fun to drive.

Posted

Wuvs have you ever had an Autobianchi A112? I wonder how it would compare with the Innocenti, they both look like a barrel of laughs!

Posted

Never had an A112 - never found one this side of the Channel that was close to being a viable project. I wouldn't think they'd handle as well as an Innocenti though - the Inno is, after all, entirely rubber-sprung Mini underneath, and there's no car on the road that is as much fun to hurl round corners as a rubber-sprung Mini. Most of them had A series mechanicals as well, although the last of them went over to 3-pot Daihatsu lumps. I think the A112 is quite similar to the Y10 underneath (the Y10 was originally sold as an Autobianchi) so should be quite good fun to drive, but it still won't be no Mini.
