Caravan Holiday Shite

Anyone had Anal Pine?   Only that sounds pretty painful.

Rather try Anal Legro, Anal Vis or maybe Anal Mera myself even if I didn't know what they were.

I think the slipperiest, quickest ride would be Anal Lard, though.

How about the Anal Musketeer or the Anal Major

Could we have a mini anal followed by a maxi anal?

Has anyone mentioned the Anal Rambler for the cottagers?!

I was just trawling thru ebay and came across a Honda Anal Legend but what made it strange was it was on a U registration, claiming to be a 1998 ? Any ideas how/why

From the Isle of Man, perhaps?

Managed to get a shot of this unusual static today. Sadly the surrounding trees on one side have been cleared and it's deteriorating quite rapidly.

Note it's 2 vans joined in the centre. I've only ever seen one like this before. I did wonder if it was an early forerunner to the massive twin axle Vickers vans, allowing you a bigger van.

Anybody know anything about who made them?

If everyone has finished arsing about I'm off to do a spot of caravanning. Unfortunately it's pissing down and I've had to drop my good lady wife in Peterborough for an hour (definitely not shopping) which meant finding somewhere to park. My conveyance makes this a rather ungainly exercise alone, so it's a bit messy. In order to leave myself a chance of escaping this hole it'll have to do though.

Did say to the wife lets buy an older caravan and tow it with my Senator.

She was not that pleased.

I'd love to have an 80's caravan towed by an 80's car.

∆∆∆ What sort of caravan is that? It looks quite upper-crusty if you don't mind me saying so.

The only caravans I can recognise are Eribas, 'cos of once drinking a lot of beer in an Eriba Puck.

Boy is the next trip out in the motorhome going to be fun. Explaining to Mrs BHM may be.more difficult.

Its a Cotswold Windrush about 1985 spent half the day working out how the awning goes on but it was all in good condition once sorted. Got a few jobs to tidy it up over winter and then it will be my stand at Beaulieu in May next year.

As nice as the period caravans are, I think I'd prefer a newer one for added creature comforts. I started out with a 1993 ABI Jubilee to see if I took to caravanning - I did and changed it for the same van but ten years newer.

I've three tow cars; a 1991 820i, 1997 Vectra 2.5V6 Estate, and a 2016 Duster 1.5 Diseasel.

Whats the duster like for towing? We towed with a scenic 1.5dci for a while and it was actually spot on with the 6 speed box

Also agree on the caravan age thing - ideally we would like something a bit more up to date too

Never noticed Cotswolds before yours, then I found myself following one out of the site we stayed on this weekend. Was a bit mossy on the roof though and towed by a modern vag. Morris Commercial behaved itself over the 250 miles it covered. Its strange rear axle arrangement requires attention every 500 miles so probably not the best choice for a long continental trip.

Not bad - I wouldn't want to tow a bigger van that currently. This van is 1225Kg and the Duster is plated for 1500kg. It is stable and has enough grunt for towing - it's just not heavy enough. I can get the front wheels spinning when pulling away in the wet easier than I would have liked. It is only a 2wd version, though.
