The Reverend Bluejeans Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 Similar to below, this blue and a Y plate. Petrol 1.8, current owner 10 years. Working LPG, has an MOT, good tyres, recent front wishbones. Good body, very well maintained. Occasionally cuts out but disconnecting a plug and refitting it gets it going. It has a towbar. It's in Worksop and it's £299. Faker and cpjitservices 2
cpjitservices Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 I sorely miss my Vec B Estate, was a smashing Car. Mine was a 'W' reg and Auto - went like a rocket too. Had the cutting out issue, new coil pack resolved the matter. Also had to renew the rocker gaskets that sit on top of the spark plug wells as they would fill with oil. Once those jobs were done it was outstanding.
Hendry Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 Is this one of the proper factory spec "Dualfuel" Vectras?
Dave_Q Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 Horrid Vectra ✔Mingebag fuel option ✔Reasonable price ✔ Yoghurt truck crash reported in Chester ✔ Fabergé Greggs, CGSB, barefoot and 4 others 7
cpjitservices Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 Horrid Vectra ✔Mingebag fuel option ✔Reasonable price ✔ Yoghurt truck crash reported in Chester ✔Vectra = Horrid ... You'd think so- mine was excellent, regret selling it. Shame someone on facebook planted it into a wall.
Dave_Q Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 Sorry M8, I meant horrid as a compliment, for me horrid/shite/shonky is a good thing in a car. cpjitservices 1

People just get surprised when I say I loved my Vectra... Worst car on the road apparently. Disagree. Mine was flawless. Cavcraft and Lord Sterling 2

Cavcraft Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 No no, its ok... People just get surprised when I say I loved my Vectra... Worst car on the road apparently. Disagree. Mine was flawless. The more I drive them, the more I find them the perfect Cavalier replacement. Brilliant cars and better than anything in the same class without doubt. cpjitservices, Lord Sterling and dave21478 3
sierraman Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 The more I drive them, the more I find them the perfect Cavalier replacement. Brilliant cars and better than anything in the same class without doubt. You are a serial Vauxhall apologist! They were ok but they weren't an improvement at all over the Cavalier. Still though at £325 who gives a shit, it's got plenty of test and it should cost pennies to run on LPG. Rare Estate as well so gr8 4 tip runs m8
The Reverend Bluejeans Posted June 6, 2017 Author Posted June 6, 2017 Make an offer. It has one wheel on the weighbridge with the LPG system removed and rammed full of old exhausts and brake discs. Once it's gone, it's gone. Current owner 10 years.
The Reverend Bluejeans Posted June 6, 2017 Author Posted June 6, 2017 £299 - the crusher is calling......... A Vectra estate with working LPG and nearly a year's MOT for under 300 quid. What the fuck is going on here?
twosmoke300 Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 A vectra b estate was the best car we have ever had ! In fact the Octavia we have just bought is the same colour , size and power output and we hope it's the spiritual replacement for the vectra . Cavcraft and cpjitservices 2
cpjitservices Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 A vectra b estate was the best car we have ever had !In fact the Octavia we have just bought is the same colour , size and power output and we hope it's the spiritual replacement for the vectra .I can agree with that statement, Rev, if you were closer to me... and I had £300 sheets. You'd have a buyer.
cpjitservices Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 Surely this is worth a roffle?!I'd go with that!
The Reverend Bluejeans Posted June 7, 2017 Author Posted June 7, 2017 No, it needs to go. Buyer or bridge, owner cares not which.
cpjitservices Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 Shame, Worksop not far from me. If I'd had the cash! I'd of done the deal. Smashing car (literally if it ends up on the bridge like)
sierraman Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 Not far from me either, I'm not the Vectras biggest fan but at £300 it's an ideal winter beater. cpjitservices 1
