It'd be an idea. I suspect us campers will be having a mini-convoy.

Posted

Yeah if anyone feels like meeting up at the campsite for convoying purposes that could work.

Posted

Campsite seems to be in-between me and the show, so I'm up for that.

Posted

I will go to the cafe if that is the plan. Cos I can never resist a cooked breakfast.

If anybody is without chod and wants to come I have room in the car and will be leaving from central Manchester on the morning.

That's a fair offer. Each ticket is for two people isn't it? I'd be happy to give a lift to anyone who finds themselves 'without shite.'

I'm bringing the event shelter down on the day, along with a stove and kettle. BYO mugs & chairs!

On looking again at my plans, I think I'll just head straight there after the Wales match in Cardiff on Saturday night - hardly seems worth going home!

Posted

I'll try posting this in the correct thread...

Right. Planets are aligning and I'm going to be working in Cheshire on Saturday, so that means I'm a definite for camping. Where are we at with that? Is there still capacity within our group or do I need to ring up and make my own booking?

Ring and make your own booking, based on last year I would be very surprised if they are fully booked. Let us know if you get charged £15 or £20 out of interest.

Ok. When they actually answer the bloody phone, I'll get booked.

Oh yeah it took me a few attempts to get through when I did it. Pity you can't book online or something.

Posted

Being a rural pub, they may well be shut for the afternoon. Try again this evening.

Booked. £20 it is. Anyone got the necessary to plug into this bloody electricity that's 'complimentary?'

Posted

I could bring a welder. If we going to make use of 'free' electricity then we may as well draw a decent current...

Posted

Necessary..?

Leccy kettle?

Patio heater?

Tesla Model-S?

(Drat, beaten to it by Mat!)

But do we need a conversion lead? I'm guessing they're not just 240v sockets sitting in a field.

Posted

I think they come with that funny circular blue plug with a flap on it. You can't really have a three pin plug just sitting in a field for people to plug extension leads into!

Posted

Flipping ace idea.

I'll have a bloody good rummage int' sheds tomorrow, if I can find the bits, I'm making one of those adaptor cables!

My welder plugs straight in to one of those, as it draws too much for a 13A socket. Anyone need a patch?

Do we wait until we're sure someone has just started having a shower?

Sunday looking like a total washout at the moment  :-(

Well, we will have shelter and brew facilities, so the weather will be tolerable at least

Sorted. Of course, what we really need is a big bus. What's FBP7's schedule? ;)

Rain is impossible. It's always cracking the flags at Chumley, sunburn is inevitable.

If that happens what time is the meet at the cafe, opening hours say 8:30-2pm which is quite a big window to guess at
