Which Rover 75?

Ha ha! I like the way the OP asks which is best and we all jump in with different ones so he's none the wiser!

I've only had a V6 manual and if I were to have another it would be a V6 auto. The clutch is a bit heavy, especially round town.

But basically, as above, probably best to go on condition, spec, colour, whatever appeals. They're all good.

Though if I was looking and the best available wasn't a V6 I'd wait until one was.

Oops, I must be going blind lol still it's a lovely colour and has the best wheels for a 75!

LOL, I too thought it was Wedgewood until I got it home and checked the colour code for touch up paint. You do see the gold in the sun though. I knew nothing about "Monogram" until then.

Dammit - I fancy a 75 now too.

Are those front seats comfy? They look it and seem to dominate the 75's interior.

Yes.

I would say that they are up there with those in the Volvo V60 in being the most comfortable seats I have ever experienced in any car.

Good to know, what does your mate charge for a clutch change? Can see mine needing one in the next 12 months.

Usually 150 plus parts... I'd recommend doing the lot at once as the clutch, slave and master cyl. I've had it done on two ZTs and both times I've needed to do the master within weeks so best just do the lot while its out.

Heard a fair bit about these from a short lived plan of Old Man's to get one I would have shared with him.

Diesels were easiest to get hold of for me, and autos seemed more common than manuals. In turn I was warned off manuals for reasons already outlined.

1.8 is a flat no - there are hardly any of them left, those that are can be picked up for sub-£500 but that's because they all have HGF. V6 and diesel are the only real options. I'm sure it's been said before that the 2.5 V6 is a lot better suited to the car than the 2.0, in the same way the 2.0 V6 is infinitely better than the 4 cylinder K.

Have my facelift ZT 135+.

Diesel, auto. Can be vaguely sporty and rather wafty.

I know I keep putting pictures of mine up but in my eyes if looking for a 75 get a early one as it has all the bits that were taken out in project drive.

Also try a v6 2.5 in auto guise.

The 2.0 v6 auto is slightly smoother but it is quite a bit slower and uses about the same amount of fuel.

I had a diesel auto and I sold it as I could not get on with it as it just didnt feel right to me.
