HAHAHA at that Escort  That must be ironic surely?

Yes. ironic enough for a piano to ironically drop on it while being carelessly transported by a helicopter

No there is no themes. I am keeping the various threads going though so they wont be lost. I lost quite a few things in "the great autoshite 2008 thread clearout"

Nah that doesn't bother me much, it's a Mk2, plenty more where that came from, and it looks like it's not had an easy life either.....

If thats a mk2 I am a Dutchman

WHY did I say Mk2? I think I meant it's NOT a Mk2. It's a Mk5, and therefore for me of no consequence....It's getting late

Will you only be interested in them when they're rare then?

How old is that Honda "thing"? I bet once you have rolled it off the forecourt it's like P-reg. That dash is cleary pretty ancient. Who buys all this ex-japan rammle at inflated prices? Surely you'd just buy an old Sunny or Astra of the same age at a tenth of the price??I had a brief look at them Mitsubishi Delica's, which are obv all imported, they were quickly discounted on being not as practical as they make out, and being obscenely expensive for a 10 yr old motor with all the service history in an indecipherable language....

1996 And 1997 but while I expected them to be 600cc they are 1972cc 16v jobbies

what the hell, all those cars are in too good a shape for that.

That Golf is surly still worth £2000 privatly isn't it?.

I saw this one today at the Peugeot Main Stealers in Ipswich today, It was in good nick apart from scabby rear arches, But notice the dealer inflected kick marks on it, If i was the old owner I'd be well pissed off about it.

I doubt if an 11 year old Golf 1.6 is worth £2k, unless there are loads of mugs out there.

Posted

Agreed, all the above look like pretty decent cars. The Golf especially should have a good few years in it yet.

Posted

That Golf's a beauty, quite an early one too. I'd have that like a shot. What utter madness
