Mental ins quotes on a ledbury /apple /meastro help

Im looking at buying a 1998 maestro .i knew that they were made after production stoped but never thought id endup with one .however i do want it becuase its in good cond and wont take much to get it quite mint however now im struggling to get a decent price on any quote is anyone here in the maestro club or have one of thease inshured or know of a good company to try iv been all over the internet an still strugling most the quotes iv had so far are 700 to 1100 and for a 38 yold chap with no claims shurely this cant be right after all its just a maestro

Websites will be hopeless. This'll be a job for a classic insurance specialist, and classic insurance specialists have RUBBISH websites. My advice would be to give Peter S Taylor a phonecall.

Maybe worth asking vulgalour or Sam glover, both have had/ have post 'production' maestros iirc.

I insured mine as a Rover Maestro, insurer was happy with that once I explained what the car was.  I *think* that was with Admiral, but it was 5 years ago...
