Here you go, using your skill and ingenuity, carefully judging by the level of dismantling necessary, what maintenance task am I undertaking on this freezing cold day...

I was changing the crankshaft position sensor. It's buried behind the front engine mounting and held in by a corroded Allen head bolt, which needed a spline but hammering in to it. I was fucking jumping yesterday when I realised how much I would have to take off but to be fair all the fasteners came out OK and it only took about 45 mins extra in total.

My favourite suggestion was 'Clown car conversion', although I'm pleased to see there was a pineapple based idea too!

This sort of thing isn't new, sadly.

The 1970s / 1980s Honda CB250N Superdream had a particular weak point, the camchain tensioner blade tended to split. This was held in place at the bottom by just one short 10 mm bolt.

However said bolt was only accessible from below - meaning that the bloody crankcases had to be split to allow access, disturbing the crank bearings in the process. A total bollocks of a job.
