Removals firms using shite

Earlier this week, I moved from Martlesham to Felixstowe (bumped into Trigger at the tip as well, proving you cannot go anywhere without bumping in to someone you know), and employed a local 'man with a van', and what turned up? A Smiley Face R reg Transit diesel luton with a tail lift, the perfect removals van if there ever was one.  The lads were utterly brilliant too I may add.

Didn't somebody post up a reference recently to a removal firm still using a TK?

Im doing a 'one bedroom' furniture fetch; 350 mile round trip,  tomorrow, for my niece, using my Disco1 300tdi 'van' and a single axle trailer with the rear beam well below the tyre 'scrub line' - does that count as shite enough??

I did a 400 mile each way removal recently with my 06 Ducato which has at least one dent in every panel and shows under 75k although there's no way that's genuine... it's my favourite version of shite, totally reliable but looks like £200 would be being generous.

I was out in the boonies near Lincoln yesterday and saw a jumbo removal van (vanplas body?) on a 1986 D plate hard at it!

I last moved house in a 54 plate Transit Luton. It wouldn't go in 3rd gear, I certainly wouldn't have wanted to go very far in it.

We moved from Holywell to st Asaph in February and the removal truck they used was a mint 1982 Bedford tk.

The old boy driving it was dead proud of it!!

This one I believe Andy!

I see it regularly, it's based about 3 minutes from my house!

A shed firm in Kirkcaldy was delivering on a tidy 1966 Ford D Series flatbed at least until about ten years ago.
