I didn't know this existed, just googled it and it's called the Routan, yes just a made up anagram of Touran which is a made up word anyway. VW cynical, rip off merchants who think all their customer are stupid? Surely not.

No thats the Touran ,the Tiguan is the baby Touareg which is a Golf based 4x4 but not a Golf Synchro , in fact most Tiguans are 2 wheel drive so just big Gols really but that would be the Golf Plus which is a Golf MPV that only seats 5 otherwise it would be a Touran .

Unless it's a pre-2007 Touran in which case the third row was an option. So it's a five seater MPV based on the golf chassis, but not the Golf plus which is the other five seater MPV based on the golf.

 

Actually, I quite like our Touran. I get why it exists, it's nice and high and the third row is useful at times. But I'm meant to say something about it being VAG shite even though it's done 60k just being serviced every 15k, there's no broken trim, and it goes well despite averaging 50mpg.

I think it's a straight 5 TDI, the Superb's is a V6.

The Porsche is pretty much the same car but much uglier with thirstier engines and ruinous parts costs so therefore the obvious choice over the VAG.
