As per title. Damage at b pillar and quarter on a stock rod. Any ideas or suggestions as to pushing it back out a bit. Don't have access to a port-a-power sadly.

Photos would be helpful.

And +1  for bottle jack and bits of timber. I'd use a 6" dia fence post: shape the ends crudely so it can't slip - loads of force!

Acro prop, trolley jack, ratchet strap etc, anything that can give a controlled push/full ?

Would you not struggle to keep a bottle Jack and post straight? can you get enough force behind an acrow prop?

Thanks in advance

I'll get pics once the things back on its wheels. It's right up against a fence right now.

...or a Farm jack / HiLift. If you know anyone with a Land Rover, they often have them because the factory jack is very slow. They're quite a versatile tool - and not a little bit dangerous, too!

If you've got space could you use the weight of another car? Attach it to the part that needs pulling straight and then rock it back and forth (by hand) to gently pull things back into shape. I did something similar with a front cross-member that was bent inwards. Roped it to a solid tree and rocked the car back and forth, gently pulling it straight. Seemed to work okay.

Don't see how that works for me in this case. Lower half of b pillar. Has to be pushed from inside I think.

tie the car to something solid thats not going to move on the opposite side, tie a rope around the pillar and pull it out with the force of another vehicle

Also lamppost.

not lamppost , they are designed to snap off at the base usually.

and they are eyewateringly expensive to replace

Bottle jack works. Try to put the piston bit at the bottom or it runs out of fluid. 4" x 4" timber is best. Brace the other end well or the wrong bit bends.

Have also used a chain attached to the tow ball on a Tranny or similar. Bit dangerous but it works, Might not do the tow bar any good.

Buy a porta power, you will wonder how you ever managed without one.

This thing is well caged, so plenty of good points to work from.

Fordperv put it better than me - this is what I meant...

But it's the lower part of the pillar that's damaged. Six or so inches above the sill. I've nowt to tie the fukker to. Unless I cut a hole in the quarter panel! That'll really balls it up!

By the way. This is for Mrs faker. She wants to go racing. That's awesome! But I'll be fukked if she is let loose in any of my machines!

Acrow prop would have done it, tighten with a hammer or bar, easy to get loads if force and find you have lifted things too far....

I have pulled out a couple of things by attaching a towrope to another car with a nice stretchy towrope and getting it loaded up, and then smack it with a lump hammer and block of wood at the same time.  The tension on the towrope and the shock from the hammer seem to "help" each other in a really nice way.

Can't pull this as it's the lower half of the drivers quarter panel and b pillar. No way of actually pulling it without cutting the quarter panel. Has to be pushed from inside.
