For Sale Rover 114 GSi 5 door - £111.00

[Six-cylinder]

Anybody fancy taking on the Rover 114 GSi 5 door in Silver, The head gasket is now fine and was tested again this weekend around our field by AS members. A bit scruffy with a new wheel arch welded in but not finished off well, various blemishes around the car and a split in the drivers seat. It needs an MOT and is not rotten but my friend says it has a seized handbrake cable, there is a small exhaust blow from the engine end that quietened down as it gets hot. The idle speed sticks above normal sometimes.

 

You are welcome to come and see it, even test drive it around our field. I was going to drive it to my favourite garage 18 miles away to a booked MOT, but 50% of their labour force has to have an operation so they don’t want it for at least 6 months. Best to trailer it away and I want back the £111.00 I spent on parts to do the head gasket, gasket set, stretch bolts, cam belt, thermostat, oil, filter and flush etc.

Would! Again, weirdly expensive to insure though - I think that's down to the pitiful Euro NCAP rating these have.

That's a bargain, not much above scrap value, pity you are so far away and I must not buy any more cars. GLWTS.

Still very tempting if it weren't for the insurance fuckwits deciding that it is more risky to insure than Apollo 13.

Suspect it might be the locks being made of cheese and the numbers that were being twocked back in the day when they were very common.
