Well finally after a couple of weeks of working away got the mighty swedeshite home.

Quick wash with the hose to remove a few years worth of algae and it's looking better already. Internal pics tomoz when it's light. Then see why it turns over but won't start. Hope it's not raining again !

Can't believe you only paid £100 for that!! Was that just the deposit?

The biggest advantage for us shitters of a more mature age is the vast majority of peeps under my age live in the disposable age. If it's not instantly fixable it's left or skipped. I've found the vast majority of my Shitey steeds over last 15 years have been hugely better than the stuff of previous 25 years. And I've never had any real problems with them

Do the Halfrauds ratchet spanners actually work? Mine gave up the ghost after a couple of months.

Took them back, lifetime guarantee. "Not on ratchets sir".

4 year old grandaughter uses them now. Calls them spinny spanners.

Messed around with a really crappy taped up remote I found in ashtray. Random but completely seperate from the key.

There was a tiny red light on dash inset into one of the switches which went out. Turned it over and suprise it lives.

Tick over a bit high. 1100 rpm when warm. And engine check light comes on after about 40 secs.

As I've only had 1 pint down the pub to celebrate. Got to be worth a drive down the lane

So the fault was someone hadn't turned the immobiliser off?

But the fault meant you got it for £100?

And the immobiliser fob came with the car?

Happy days!

You think for a hundred quid it would of least tick over properly.

God I wished I'd stumped up that extra fiver. See if I can sort it out in the morning
