Still not sure what he means, unless he really is saying that the McLaren F1 that he designed is worse

I think you'll find that ad predates the F1 by several years ;-)

Mmmmm, vesta...... I was 16 before I realised people other than vesta made curry.

I had to google what a Vesta curry was/is.

on topic re: Midas - I remember seeing the odd one around every now and then back in the 80's - rare even then.

Be having a rest in the garage.

I sold my mini marcos for 400 quid, went to France. Was a few years ago though.

They have gone up a fair bit over the last couple of years but £4K is still strong money unless it's really nice. A couple keep swirling around on eBay for £6-7k but one of them has been on there in and off with the same seller for two years now. Stupid thing is that instead of realising the price is too high, he has upped the price. But if you aren't desperate to sell I suppose he is just being a chancer and hoping a gullible buyer will turn up one day.

4 grand!!!! can get a marcos for less

You could get a 924 for less! (or about the same...)

924s are still cheap, 4K would get a minter. I got a ropey one for £250 with six months mot less than two years ago. The VW connection keeps prices down. Weird that a 924 is cheap because vw is stamped on so many parts but a golf is expensive for the same reason.......

Troo dat. I reckon if they had stuck to the original plan and built it as a VW, they would be worth 5 figures easily by now...

Minis were not shit, they just let water in and went rusty, so fibreglass body makes perfect sense.

I once worked with someone who had one, it was very nice.

At the time I had a crap Mini Marcos.

He liked mine because it was a Marcos.

I liked his because it was finished.

ive owned 2 mini marcos cars ages ago, crap or not, worth a lot now, wish i still had my mk3 1967
