Rickman Ranger wanted. Always promised myself one and now is the time. Leave it much longer I won't be around.

Prefer a nice shiny one with 2.0 Pinto/Zetec, 5 speed gearbox and shiny wheels.

But realistically anything in any condition, that's correctly registered, running or in bits. Have trailer will travel.

I know someone had one on here once, so worth a try.

There was one advertised in a recent(ish) copy of CCW I read in the bog. I'll get details when I get home. I think it was <£2k and had a pinto but can't recall what else.

Build yourself a new one. Simply buy a RWD Escort and spend a few weeks spannering. With a bit luck you'll get some change from £15,000.

Yes thanks, seen that one on ebay, lost one last week because my pockets were too deep.

Have had my arms lengthened now.

Really want a pinto as I have a few bits about. It's not as easy to change engines as it used to be.

Well it is, but the paperwork is a lot more involved

They are lots of fun, a friend's mum had one in the 1990's, and we used to take it green laning, had a hot Burton Racing 1700 Xflow and type 9, was damaged when my mate lost it on a bend and slammed into a brand new camry which was bent almost in two, bull bar was bent, small crack in the body and the chassis had a slight bit of damage, was straightened up and sold. Surprisingly there is a diecast model in Russia of a white hard top, and I bought one a while back

I scrapped what was left of mine just last month as I couldn't give it away,

Only need it to tow our stock cars up the drive to the garage. Tranny van won't fit.

Wife's car just fits but keep knocking the drainpipe down.

Only need to miss once and she won't be happy.

Have no NCB of my own and Rickmans are very cheap insurance compared to Mondeo estates.

Right, finally got home and found the ad, its in CCW dated 6th July so older than I thought but you never know. Here it the text from the ad:

PM for phone number, in the pic it is white with a red stripe and blue wheels. Its in the <£1000 section but no price mentioned. Does NOT feature in 10 August copy but thats not to say its not still for sale.

There's another turned up on flebay, has been on Gumtree at a ridiculous price.

Am in negotiation, what he wants is expensive unseen. Only 230 miles away.

Might just have to have a cheeky bid at the end.

Thats a shame Mally, but I'm sure one will turn up. I get CCW fairly regularly so can keep an eye out in case another appears. What sort of budget do you have out of curiosity?

Missed a decent one on the road at £830.

Am thinking basket case £500. On the road but needs attention, £1000 (kit cars are never finished).

Bees knees with all the bells and whistles up to 2K but don't tell the wife.

Depends on distance as well, always pay more if I view it. Prefer gel coat, it fades, but you never know whats under the paint

Spending the kids inheritance so not a problem to me really.

Much as I'd like four I have a back garden full of trailers and stock cars. Hence the preference for on the road and shiny.

However the price is right so I might be interested in the best of the bunch.

Have you any paperwork? That's the most important thing these days.

If one is tax exempt I'd make £100 on the deal. It's a fair walk down your way though
