Bloody hell. I actually really liked that.

Nice straightforward thing. Seemingly tons of spares are available for them too. 1.6 and 2.0 versions.

Hello new addition to the bucket list.

Yes it was lovely, I thought it was a Datsun at first though,

Mike on the tools for a change too

I would drive one of those.  Right up the road. RIGHT UP!

I had a roommate who rebuilt one of those trucks a long time ago. Isuzu made them, and I remember the shift boot was gone, offering a nice* view of the road. So he drilled a hole through the center of a toilet plunger, then epoxied it in and put the boot on over that. He chugged around in that thing for several years.

Very watchable! The WiFi was a bit odd, but Trucky was lovely.

I bought a wrecked landrover a while back as it had a 2.5 direct injection diesel engine apparently sourced from a Chevy luv. No idea how the engine reached these shores as to my knowledge the vehicle was not sold here, but I used it in my own landrover for a while and it seemed OK.

Is the programme funded by Yanks, now?

They seem to have more money to spend on production and of course they're now based in California.

Its the Isuzu 2.5 lump as far as i know, bloody good engine with a turbo bolted to it.

Are these basically a Isuzu TF/Vauxhall Brava? I had a 2.5 TD single cab for 7 years that was faultlessly reliable and had faded to several pleasant shades of Pogweasle pink.

I think it must be, presumably mine (a nat.asp.) was from a market where it was badged as a luv. It suited the landrover better than the Transit Di as it was originally installed vertically and was slightly quieter. The downside was that due to no off the shelf kits being available mine had a home made adapter plate which proved to be poorly aligned and clutches didn't last very long.

I love (pardon the pun) these pick-ups, would like to own a short bed LUV. This one would be about right as I don't want a shiny one.

I saw some LUVs in Cyprus, and their Isuzu counterparts, the inappropriately named 'Faster'.
