Having spoken to Ben, he needs the 205 shifted asap due to space restrictions.

I was off work next week but am now not due to a fellow postie going sick. Can anyone help in getting the car to Aberdeen as I can get the Northlink staff to put it on the boat for me?

I see Seal's plan now.

He's trying to sink the Shetland isles with shite.

I can get it to Glasgow on Friday night (we're going up to Skye).  Can store it until then too if that helps Ben.

Is it taxed and insured? (I do have 'other cars')

A lesser man would have said "CAN'T TAKE IT SOZ, CAT ENTERED RAFFLE BY MISTAKE". Good work. I'd like to help but I'm too far north and too far west.

I'll be adding it to my policy and taxing it.

So if Loserone could get it from Ben and upto Glasgow on Friday then 320Touring upto Aberdeen?

I'll PM you guys - thanks so much.

After this, I think I'd best buy roffle tickets for other people as Mrs Seal looked at me with exasperation and said "What are we going to do with ANOTHER car?" :-)

I think she would get on very well with Mrs WW.  They have at least one thing in common.

Puglet is currently taxed and insured.  Full tank too.

I can help too if required, I could collect one evening and store here until weekend then I could probably get it to Edinburgh.

PS if it comes with a cake it may not be intact when you get it.

I'd like to help but, unusually, am too far south to be of any use.  It's got that really plush squidgy Peugeot interior that doesn't look plush or squidgy, a very inviting place to be with the expanse of peeling lacquer ahead of you.

Mike is on his way to collect the wee beastie now and will bring it North to Glasgow on Friday on his way to Skye.

Thanks everyone for the offers of help.

I'll be offering relay services in August as I'll be driving the Granada from Aberdeen to Folkstone on the way to Bulgaria so anything that can fit in/on it can be transported.

Keys officially handed over.

205 transfered to temporary stewardship for transportation north.

I hope the 205 can keep up with the Seat and all of its horse powers.

What's the longest you've ever kept a car, Ben?

Posted

Probably nearly a year. So far I've never mot'd the same car twice but I still have the exbollox 25 Gti which I WILL be motting again.

he doesnt keep them, this house is just a stopover so they can recuperate when migrating either north or south;)

25GTI is ace Ben, well worth a second MOT.

205 NOTAGTI is surprisingly quick as Mo and Ben have previously noted, especially on County Durham lanes.  I've never driven a 205 for very long, but I.. want one now!

Anyway, this morning I had no diesel cars, and now I still don't, but there's two on my drive.  Hmph!

Thanks again to everyone involved in this convoluted collection and Ben for running the roffle. I'm really looking forward to getting the keys to this little beauty so I can line up my chod outside and get a 'The Usual Suspects' line-up photo :-D

Viking blood. Nords are all desended from one of seven rampaging Norsemen who landed in North East England in 1352. They fucked everything, killed all the Normans, invented beer and football and basically fathered the north.
