Seat Leon Cupra,time to go!

Down to £400 now.....

As I'm putting the 214 back into daily use at the end of the month, the current motor is needing to be sold

I acquired it back in Feb of this year, and has proven to be a reliable, fun little thing

It's a 52 plate Cupra,with the 1.8 Turbo engine and 6 speed manual box

Silver in colour but with a good few blemishes and damage to the paint means it's not the prettiest to look at

It has been keyed on most of the doors, and there is evidence of poor paintwork on the rear n/side quarter

I can't see any actual damage though...

Windscreen has a wiper mark which should polish out ok

Mechanically it goes very well.Always starts 1st time and hasn't let me down

There is a good gasket blow from the Turbo when 1st started, but this quietens down a bit once it starts warming up. A new gasket will be included

All warning lights go out as they should, and all interior electrics work

Aircon gets nice and cold but the climate control LCD screen has bled a bit on 1side.I have another here but never got around to fitting it

Interior is in decent shape. No leather or Alcantera

It has Seat 17" wheels with reasonable tyres fitted

MOT'd till November

I swapped it after a quick look over in the dark,in an Asda car park hence how I missed most of the bodywork but tbh if it bothered me too much I'd put a "stylish" go faster stripe down the sides and cover it all up

It really is a right giggle to drive and would'nt take too much work to get back to a good looking car

The plan was to run it for a while then either track day it,or sell as a donor for an earlier Golf

Located in N Staffs TF9

£500 to a shiter.Owes me a fair bit more but that's only down to my epic swapping skills

May swap for a small van,or something with 2 wheels

Pics to follow

I miss mine - I've never had anything that handled and went like it.

Mrs_Outlaw hated it.... which is one reason i kept it for 2 years......

Nice car for 500 quid. My insurance would dry bum me on that tho :(

Any interest? Will be sorn'd end of the month and insurance swapped to the Rover.

Will seriously consider a swap for a van, bike, maybe another car....who knows....

Or even do something for both the Cupra and the Rover. .....

I've got a mate who might be interested in it - or possibly I might myself for motorway use. What's the mileage on it, out of interest?

Mileage is 147k,uses no oil or coolant. Sorn'd as of today as well

Sorry Andy - had the chat with him and he seems to have an alternative plan, so I'm out.

Cheers Martin,no harm in asking

Price reduced to £400 as I could do with it going soon, or I may be tempted to stick it through Cannock auctions next week.......

How bad is the blow from the gasket, is it a twat of a job to replace hence the new gasket included in the sale? ;):D

I'm trying to work out if you can read the ecu file from it...

if you can it'd be a damn cheap pocket rocket

Gasket could be as easy as swapping a downpipe, or could snap a bolt and possibly require head of to get it done

Thanks, is it turbo to manifold or turbo to downpipe? the latter I could live with.

I couldn't say for sure.By the time I get my dainty pinkies down by the turbo to try get a feel, its getting a bit warm and quieting down...

The performance doesn't seem affected,it really pulls from 2nd up to 5thby which time it's "making progress"...
