Ja, Moar Germans  :-D

Not a Kompressor but plenty quick enough for me.

Scrubs up quite well:

But it has issues:

Sunroof not working

Comedy rear window tint that looks like it was applied by Stevie Wonder

A bit of smokage on hard accelleration - my trustyMerc specialist tells me it is most likely all the breathers clogged up because of improper oil usage at previous services - we shall see

That looks really nice, big change from the first photo. Did you machine polish it?

Have you tried main dealer for parts, as they are not at all snobby about us older Merc owners ?

Nice cars these Mercs, and there are no holes through the front wing which probably classes this one as mint.

I would!!

When I saw Victor in the title I was hoping to read about a 60s or 70s Vauxhall. This red one looks rather more luxurious.

The latest car mechanics had a clarification that it's age dependent for EML being a fail now, around 2004 depending on fuel type iirc

Rear antiroll bar links and bushes are a known issue with old V70s. One I had you could pull on the ARB and pull it freely side to side! They can be problematic to replace due to all the bolts concerned rusting solid. Also check for the bottom of the rear sping(s) having just snapped on the end, and the bit that broke off rattling in the spring cup.
