Just a quirk of the photo, burgundy all over. Some of it was rust patched up my my father, he was quite good at it and the car looked tidy. It was changed for a 3.8 S-Type auto with PAS. My dad started doing lots of miles and used my mothers Beetle for work so she used the MK2 for shopping etc, but she nearly crashed in to the neighbours gates opposite because she could not turn the manual steering wheel fast enough. antony denman and Garythesnail 1

NO, this is my mother reversing out of our drive in the village. When we got the car it had been a London car and my dad gunned it up the duel carriage way hill from Marlow to High Wycombe and it shot out red carbon like a firework! stonedagain and Shite Ron

Six-cylinder 21183
Some of us can only dream about sitting behind a Daimler dash like that at the moment with the car put away and not at home. I know, I know you got toggles and we only have rockers. puddlethumper, DVee8, NorfolkNWeigh and 4 others

R1152 206 Posted yesterday at 01:58 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:58 AM Whenever I see one of these I remember a time when, if I had £795 to hand, I could have purchased either one of these or a white Triumph Slag. They appeared for sale within a week of each other.☹️ Mind you: "hello Mr. Insurance Man, I'm 18 and I want to insure a Daimler 250 V8... why are you laughing?" 2flags 168 Posted yesterday at 08:33 AM Share Posted yesterday at 08:33 AM That's always been the case. When we could afford the cars we couldn't afford the insurance. Now we can afford the insurance, we can't afford the cars! Low Horatio gearbox
