Oh I phoned up that Essex one last week - it was reduced down to £895, was totally up for a collection if they'd do a deal. Best they'd offer was £866 - the sale price on the eBay auction. Wouldn't even match the £750 reserve price they had on eBay for.

No record of Cambelt change on it and the dealer didn't seem to believe me that it took 5 hours by the book and £200-300 in parts. Oh and it still needs that ESP fixing. Dealer didn't seem to be concerned that is why it wasn't selling and prepared to hold out longer. Meh.

Just gonna wait for either that to reduce, also noticed the Silver one has gone on eBay for £1200 start...

Problem is, they're all fecking miles away from me and a pain in the arse for me to arrange collecting.

I am feeling increasingly inclined towards anal bleaching with battery acid rather than sado masochism involving a leather belt and Davina McCall soundbites on a loop. I'm warming to mine more and more,

That turbo one. You'd have to for that money.

OK. It's as sensible as investing a million quid with the KLF, but if it works for a week without fucking up you could probably claim a Guinness World Record.

Haha they seem to sell all over the place.

Shame RenaultSport never did one.

Would be quite interesting to see what they'd come up with if let loose on it.

This one is a boring 2.0 N/A but interesting because:

a ) has a boot spoiler for added speed *

b ) cheap phase 2

c ) not tragic fault (ABS probably just a sensor, or worse case just a second hand ABS module needs bolting on).

This was £450 TODAY ONLY on Friday and again on Saturday. £350 TODAY ONLY on Sunday. Now £250 TODAY ONLY today.

Almost identical to the 2.0 NA I used to have on an 07 plate.... Tempted but one aging Renault is enough for me

Not even this one near you??

Sounds like it needs a replacement card reader or possibly even just a quick vacuum in that one.

This picture made me chuckle. Do you think someone forgot to put the oil cap back on at some point?

That's what they call an honest engine bay!

That seller is a prolific driveway trader that is always selling cars at that price point - no idea where he's sourcing them from to make any money though!

Testes - no limit on how long a car can be with trade, I've never had any trouble and I've had cars intended as stock turn into year long dailies without updating the logbook

Granted it's easier to explain when you have trade insurance

Interesting. Especially as he's not classed himself as trade! Bastard.

If it had a turbo or 2 extra cylinders, I would have been still interested though!

Some splendid gooners on the bay today, this 2.0 NA Privilege is nice, being sold by our mates 'CARSWITHNORESERVEREADING' (which reminds me, I havent sent off the logbook for the Rover 45 V6, is there a time limit on how long stuff can be 'in trade'??)

Looks nice and even has the oddball small screen satnav. However it doesn't have enough ponies for me to bother that one - especially when they have a 205bhp one in stock too!

If I'm going to have a car that has potential to break, it has to be relatively interesting in the power department tbh. I feel better and less like I'm wasting it when I'm chucking money at a broken car that has spice.

I've noticed that the £425 one is back on. I reckon it's fucked... Especially that dodgy dash screen and the fuel needle on zero but no fuel warning light...

No there's not, but if you don't bother and you've taxed it, you won't get your refund for the balance of months when sold.

That isn't his name either. Uses multiple Gumtree accounts and phone numbers assumedly to repeatedly avoid paying to list cars (first 2 are free for private sellers)

Ah well thats not too terrible, I will get some discs and a spring ordered up!!!

offside rear Rear position lamp(s) adversely affected by the operation of another lamp (1.1.A.3f)

Is that not usually caused by a light coming on when a brake pedal is pushed, etc. I.e. dodgy earth to the rear lights?

something like that, or one of those twin-filament bulbs being in back to front or summert

Or the UCH (Body Computer) playing silly buggers. I shouldn't scare you with thoughts like that though.

Talking of the UCH...

They look like this when you take them out

Then there are these fuses & relay hidden above them

Then like this when opened up to dry

The bloke is providing a 12 month warranty on a diesel Laguna 2 though, which could easily cost him £3800 in itself.

Thanks for posting that.  It helps to counteract the new wave Laguna compulsion which is gripping Autoshite.

I wonder if it comes with a copy of the bible in the glovebox?

Just seen this morning a 04 Laguna II Dynamic DieseI tourer at a local used car forecourt for a wopping £1895. Makes ours at £400 seam cheap!

Not terrible on the Mot Bol I just hope our Laguna II doesn't make the 3 pages record of a Corsa B I once had when it has it's Mot later this month.
