ST 200 clutch advice please.

I think I dodged a bullet here, though the seller did keep stalling the sale, no matter how hard I tried to buy it. (I had suspicions a work mate wanted it). Still my £300 is still tucked up in its envelope for future heartache! Tetley surely he can recoup a fair chunk of th cost by stripping the ST200 bits?

I was quite annoyed when I found out he'd sold it to a colleague after you showed so much interest Andrew.

The bloke he sold it to can be quite obnoxious actually, so what goes around etc.

In fairness though, the FTP was right out of the blue, no-one saw it coming, no previous symptoms.

In a way, I'll rather pleased you missed this one Andrew.

I don't think Gary will be stripping it, he'll either get the problem fixed, or sell as it is. That's just my opinion though.

I think it was the vendor who dodged the bullet by not selling it to 'andrew e'.

Work was really quiet last night, so I managed to spend a little bit of time with Gary, the owner of this ST200.

It is still in the same place in the car park where it was recovered to.

It's been sitting there for weeks and weeks now. We wondered if it would fire up. Would you believe the bugger fired straight up. Sounded lovely too.

It's a really nice looking motor actually.

Gary wants it gone now, so I asked him to put a price on it.

£200.

Anyone fancy a bash at it?

It will obviously have to be recovered, but just suppose it's something as simple as a failed gear linkage. What a result.

Of course, it may be something more serious. Gary just doesn't know, because no one's investigated it.

If anyone's interested, I can pm you Gary's number.

Changed the clutch on my dads v6 mondeo, two subframe bolts snapped and two of the captive nuts inside the chassis legs broke off.

I had to cut pockets into the chassis leg and weld in new captive nuts, think it was about 20 hours work
