Surely examples only a couple of years older can be picked up for a tenth of the price they plucked out of the air

It can't be repeated often enough: "2.0HDi good. 1.6HDi bad, bad, bad."  I had a 2010 1.6HDi which was on it's 4th turbo in 4 years/40,000 miles at £1,300ish per turbo. It'd been properly serviced too. Read this before buying a 1.6HDi http://www.universalturbos.co.uk/hdi-engine.pdf

I think they're nice looking, never driven one, the Berlingo is OK, which I presume is the 'same'.

Oddly - since they share basic architecture - they couldn't be more different.  The Bling feels much more solid.

A relative of mine had one of these a couple of years ago. I have to confess that I quite liked it - it was a comfortable and smooth riding car.

The only problem he had with it was the price he was given come trade-in time.

Perhaps it was owned by that pseudo celebrity Ronnie Pickering....you know? RONNIE PICKERING!!!

Traditionally you look under the seat for lost change rather than through it.

Amazingly they were still buying the bloody things round here on a '59' plate. Would have to be school bog blue though as it appears to have been the only colour available in Scotland.

For £5k it would have to contain an entire female gymnastics team and enough snow to do the Cairngorms for a fortnight.

Ten quid says Arnold Clark snapped up a cancelled fleet order and knocked them all out of his shiny shiny showrooms on finance.
