Angrydicky Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Just seen this, I know there's a thing for them on this forum so thought I'd stick it up. It's in Margate, Kent. Contrary to what the seller thinks I don't think you'll have to "be quick" at £650. It was tidy but not perfect, it did have some rust on the back arches, albeit not catastrophic and it could possibly be treated/repainted. The interior looked good though. eddyramrod, Vince70, warren t claim and 6 others 9
vulgalour Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Handsome even with the Kent approach to pricing and Halfords trimz.
djimbob Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 that's bloody lovely, who needs Italian when you can have that beauty
brownnova Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Saw one of these on the flesh today! Didn't look as nice* as this one tho! Strange desires to run one of these as a daily!!
eddyramrod Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Do it, I've done it. They make an excellent daily. Bit cheaper would help though.
AlabamaShrimp Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 I had one years ago, was very nice to drive would like to compare one to a Mitsubishi one. This one seems a bit expensive but is an unusual colour
Station Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 They are starting to look very retro now in a cool way.I remember Jeremy Clarkson review on top gear lasted about five seconds, he just looked at the car and went 'Naaah'.GR888 reliable cars IMO. How did Proton not become as popular as Kia? They actually made good looking cars that were nice to drive. I always thought they were 100 times more desirable than a Kia or Hyundai. tooSavvy 1
tooSavvy Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 I loved my MPi Hatch 1.5 PAS. Fitted a HLBrake from a VloVo hatch. Fitted well. Replaced the 'chewing gum' rubber bobbins from the gear selector cables with solid spacers, nipped up nicely. TS
DodgyBastard Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Prime candidate for a rollered nato paint job or to be chopped into a pickup, it's still about £500 too dear though.
Jim Bell Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 How many of these do you get for £650?Current exchange rate suggests it should be at least three and perhaps four. Verdict: needs the stick.
HH-R Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Not an ultra-desirable 'J' reg, I'm OUT. robinmasters and tooSavvy 2
