That will be annoying, if its just the sump that can be had its not good value for a ton worst case, and Im not going to all that effort just for a sump!

 

We shall keep looking then! I found one being broken on ebay in slough, sent a message about the sump but not heard anything yet.

Cars can be stored where I keep some of mine for a fiver a week.

If a local parts car can be found it can be stored there.

If the fiver is a problem I can cover it.

I haven't been over for a couple of weeks but seem to think there was a scrap vectra c last time I was.

I will investigate, you need a sump and a couple of wheels right?

Yes please,a sump,two wheels,abs sensors for front wheels. Possibly more but I can't think at the minute! A fiver a week seems reasonable. Thank you very much.

Ill gladly come over and help! Was thinking tre's and droplinks too if their sound on a donor car, front bumper if silver, any trim clips that may be fucked etc.

 

I can store the parts at mine if needed too if easier. May clean the sump up on whatever we get anyway

 

Could chip in a few fivers if needed too.

Surprisingly (given their rep) I have not a single spare part for a Vectra C. In fact, I probably haven't got any Vauxhall bits at all, save a few steel wheels and a random set of 13" alloys.

 

There is a Vauxhall only breaker not that far from here by the way, but I'd sooner set fire to my cars and my legs than ever use them.

I'm like that with a Vauxhall breakers by me. Regards vectra c reputation though I can't say i've had any major mechanical or electronic maladies with all the 1.8 ones I've had

I know pre face lifts are 4 stud on the b,post are 5 as mentioned and if they are same pcd than great. On the c I have 215/50/16 wheels I think. Abs sensors would be handy too! Thanks beko that would be most appreciated if we could arrange something then I can boogey on down to strip it with you. A lot of bits could be put on ebay if it's a b vectra to recoup money back,if it's a c though then plenty of spares!

not entirely true over 2.0 litre and above got 5 stud (i had a n-reg 2.0gls)

Made a start today. Rad is in,need to get a lower mounting bracket from a scrapper as the passenger side is tied up at the minute. Hit a snag though. Cant find torx sockets for undoing sump bolts,my jack won't lift it high enough to crawl under and its started raining. Tried getting Vectra on ramps but handbrake seems to be sticking and the van won't tow it up the ramps. Will proceed tomorrow

What's your address? If your happy to post them back to be I'll post you my vauxhall special torx bit set, won't need it for a while hopefully! I'll need them posting back to me/Shitefest relay back at some point though!

I'll get these posted out to you tomorrow/weds daz. There's adapters to take them between 1/2 and 3/4 if needed, and some extension bars as I needed them doing a z16xe sump.

 

Would post you my jack but that would Cost a fortune!
