This evening I sent Chompy back north fully veg'd up, and armed with the (only slightly bent) A-frame, special padded trailer board, and the famous "this guy knows what he's doing" orange beacon of doom.

Have fun you guys!

I just checked the weather for Crail on Sunday ... my day appears that it's going to consist of mostly water induced burnouts!

This should be fun then ... wonder how good A-frame adventures are in the rain?? lolz

WCPGW??

*Nothing I is professional and have flashy orange thing for proof!

You need to go drag racing with the orange flashing light on the roof.

I am all set... finish work at 3am Sunday morning and I have emptied the Pride.

Posted

The Pride will have the AX for breakfast.

Les Tin Des Biscuits ran 20's, not too shabby :D

Posted

The Pride is surprisingly not shit; I actually expect to beat the 740 auto (18.92) over the 1/4 mile.

1.3i 8v with 63bhp. Should be reet.

Aye, you'll have the AX and probably Sav as well. You and your five gears... [/Gearbox_Envy]

Except when second is like first and a half and third is more fourth. That's what killed it TBH, you ran out of revs at about 60 in second and third killed it. Next time it should be on low profile PHAT 155/70s for better* acceleration.

I've just rolled in from work after a 15 hour shift... if I don't make it for 8.15 at Old Inns go on without me!

Suffering from a lack of motivation today, spent all day on the Scimitar but its still not running right. I may still head along later though.

It's nearly 2pm so it's probably dark in Scotlandshire already.

Are you having fun up there?

Posted

I'm not there and just got back from the unit.  I do not envy Chompy the prospect of A-framing the Protohno back in this!

Not raining here but for 20 to 30 miles south of the border the roads are rivers and quite dangerouse, passed two breakdowns (sucked water) and three cars dragged into the hedge by puddles, no 132 mph shenanigans this fine evening

Posted

Will he be heading down the A1? It wasn't too bad. Biblical rain and poor visibility but no big puddles.

we jacked it in when it was 1/8th mile aquaplaning..

You've managed to capture deteriorating VHS tape on knackered heads squeal perfectly in that video, I can only assume being that for north with that much weather turned your digital camera analogue for a few minutes.
