sloth Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 they all fell apart. usual cavalier rust, and most got robbed of their c20xe's and c20ets for novas and corsas. ive personally broken 3, a very early c20xe, on a g plate. and a k plate pre face. and the last was a late turbo one. all were terminal in some way. skattrd 1

Not strictly true. My 21-year old pre-facelift V6 Calibra has still never needed any attention from the mig fairy, although there was a chassis rail problem in very early models. Same with the Cavs - later ones are largely rot-free. By comparison, the front chassis rails on Miss F's MX5 were fully munted after just 14 years.
