If that is a Twelve, they are super rare! I'd love one, pretty much a slower sidevalve 16 with a slightly different front grille.

is the acclaim for sale...............???

I doubt it. It looked like it hadn't moved for a wee while.

That Cortina is GR11. Put your thumb over the Megrane Coupe in the pic and it's 1977 all over again.

^WHS. Tina looks lovely. Alpine is from my neck of the woods too (DFY number plate!). We had a new Zephyr that year but it was DWM so a bit later. DWM 95C, if anyone finds it in a barn; Zephyr 4 Mk3, dark blue with massive (to a six-year-old!) pale blue bench seats. It may even still have the towbar on, if it exists at all.

Epic photos Jon, particularly of that Cortina, with the GTA platge on it, it looks like a cover for the next GTA game - GTA: Shite City. I love the action shot of the BX Estate, just looks right somewhow.

Got a few more shots of that Cortina - I'll upload them together with a few others tonight.

I really, really wished I'd got some better photos of this. I only had my W995 and its appalling flash to hand.

Passed it in Wilmslow and initially I thought it was a Swallow Doretti. After some crash Googling It turned out to be an Allard K3, one of only 61 built for the American market. A few were RHD, as this example was. It looked used and careworn rather than shiny - and it was parked out on the road late at night, with the hood down. I think this is the rarest car I've ever spotted outside of a car show. I will be keeping an eye out for it.

According to the DVLA 899 YUB has a 2300cc engine, which means it'll be packing a Ford Zephyr six under the bonnet. You could also specify a Mercury V8, or if you really wanted to push the boat out, a 331 cube Cadillac lump.

That's a quality spot, that last one. Nice work.

Zoinks @ Allard & Mackie Messerschmitt. GR8 spots.

The sign shop in the Marina pic is where my car used to be parked all day by its previous owner.

Can't express how much I love the New Bus for London, they're wonderful.
