Oh cock, I accidently bought a MGTF.

Do TFs have anti-roll bars to go with their (cheapskate)  coil-springs?

Those Metros with coil springs?

TFs have coils, Fs have metro suspension as well as the subframe.

Thank you. I is educated.. of all the MGF's and TF's  I've had, I've never thought to look!  I'm off to build a VVC 6R4 on coilovers with 2 engines using a donor MGTF.

VVC metros are a hoot... Surely putting a second one in the back using F bits isn't beyond the ken of man?

I reckon its do-able. Getting them both to work in unison would be a feat though!  The end result would be awesome though. Remember the twini.

Rather than have 2 manual gearboxes with a lever that operates both, why not have one that's an automatic and the other manual.

I once saw a twin engined Nova at Santa Pod.  2 x 2.0 LET each with 315 bhp (iirc), 2 manual gearboxes

Unfortunately halfway down the quarter mile, the gearboxes got out of sync and one was in Second with the engine hitting the rev limiter and the other was in third. Whoops.....

Can't see that working, the gearing would need to be the same, and synchronised...although you could get a CVT MGF.. the "stepspeed". That might work with 2 of those.  🤔

You could at least post a photo of one of the better-looking Freelander mules...

No. They were not worth the effort. I used one extensively but tried two others. Overrated conversion.
